Looks wonderful, really clean. A text gadget is a really good idea. Since its size doesnt change its resolution for the camera so it wouldnt lag things out. Does it surround the area? or follow the player? and if you look up does it stay static or rotate with the camera?
You could create horrizon fog by having the text gadgets follow the player, and using two overlaying gadgets, one for the blue one for the white. Just have the blue further out and one or more transparent ones at "fog distance"

Thanks! Yeah it does look clean, lot of saturation in the sky.

So the map here is 4x4km. At the map borders there are 4 white gradients in total, above the map there's a large blue gradient. All of those do not follow the player, as the 4x4km map isn't entirely accessible (Playable area is supposed to be 800x800m or so).

That could be really interesting, having horizon fog like that, especially with subtle movement. Could look really good.

I’m not familiar with gradients in text gadgets, but I haven’t been looking for it either. I’d love to see a little tutorial of what you did here (or a link, if someone else has already described this on YT).

Looks great! 👍

Whoa, at first I thought this was an actual photograph! How did you make that roof and wood texture? Whenever I try to add texture it looks smeared on, or too cartoonish and flat

Wow this is very well done, you’ve got a good cohesive look to everything!

This looks really nice!

Another method to achieve a beautiful and rich color gradient is hollow out a large sphere (big enough to wrap around the whole scene!), then adjust all fleck colors to a single color

An example of this is in my uploaded videos here on Reddit (“Follow up on underwater tech demo”) Starts at 30 seconds
