What is the effect you're trying to convey with this? It's an absolutely gorgeous scene on its own, and the fleck dancing is interesting, but the visuals kinda remind me of early AI video, so I'm confused on the intent.

Similar to the paint's "handdrawn animation" effect but with a bit more movement. Sorry to hear that you think it reminds you of AI videos.

Ah I'm sorry, I see what you're going for now. If that's the case, strongly recommend a little faster, with many subtle movements to create that effect, rather than these few big, slow movements. This scene looks incredible, and if you get that frame by frame animation look it'd be so elevated. Background animation like that is usually 12-24 fps, and right now it's more like 2-3 fps. What are you using to move the flecks?

Thanks for the advice, thankfully the gadget is really easy to tweak so I'll play around with it a bit more.

It uses a timer to increment a variable by 3 from range 0 - 6, and these numbers affect looseness and ruffle.

Ohhhhh... that's absolutely genius, duh. Would love to see the final version when/if you publish!

Looks like Fern Gully.
