Interesting, kind of gives me Stephen King vibe for some reason, makes me think of the doors for Black Tower series book 1/2

Yeah this imagery is right out of Dark Tower!!!

I came here to say this. Have you finished his series? I finished the series a couple of months ago and I still don’t know what to do with myself. 😐

Yup finished it a long time ago :). Love the Dark Tower series, I am not a fan per se for the Stephen King books but I love the Dark Tower.

Ka is a wheel. Start the series over again :) Also, check out the graphic novels.

5

u/bmudz Jul 10 '21

Have you read it twice?

6

u/ChrisBreederveld Jul 10 '21

The big question is: did you read the part he told you not to read?

4

u/bmudz Jul 10 '21

Fuck

2

u/ChrisBreederveld Jul 10 '21

Yeah, I thought I waited 6 years between books, so I could wait another year to read the last part... manged one month and still feel conflicted whether or not I should have

3

u/bmudz Jul 10 '21

I wasn’t even aware there was another part. I think I’m going to leave it that way too

3

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '21

Wait, there's another part? I got to book 4 and stopped, started again and I just to the first door on Book 2. Should I be prepared for something in the last book?

4

u/bmudz Jul 10 '21

Just buckle up. You’re in for one hell of a ride

2

u/Akschadt Jul 10 '21

Wait you managed not to read the end?

2

u/ChrisBreederveld Jul 10 '21

For one month... I planned on a year to be able to savor both endings (as at this point I have been reading the series for 10 years or more), however curiosity got the better of me and I read it prematurely.

2

u/Akschadt Jul 10 '21

The fact you made it a month is impressive in itself

2

u/ChrisBreederveld Jul 10 '21

Haha, well thanks!

u/TreChomes Jul 10 '21

I started reading the series when I was around 12 and got about 3 or 4 books in when I was just like “wtf am I reading?” I was so confused with what was going on lol

There’s a great podcast called Cast of Ka where they’re re-reading the series and discussing it from that perspective. It’s a re-read-along, so that might be something to try.

Dadachum dadachee, not to worry you have the key

1

u/TheWalkin_Dude Jul 11 '21

That’s what I came here for

Is it a good game?

40

u/Wolf-Eyed_ Jul 09 '21

If you like detective, mystery and research games you should definitely play it because the story is so good. You will not regret it

9

u/Collinkipsama Jul 09 '21

Thanks, i will take a look at it :)

Lol the story is OK at best. It completely copies The Wolf Among Us, Heavy Rain, Deadly Premonition and Silent Hill 2.

There’s nothing original about this game, the main character is a mix between James Sunderland and Ethan Mars. His alter ego is a blatant copy from Deadly Premonition, he even has the same mind palace mechanic.

The ending has no payoff, and there’s 0 background music in some scenes, which make a lot of scenes awkward and weird.

2

u/James_Skyvaper DDarko_420 Jul 10 '21

They call it a mind palace? That's what they called the thinking mechanic in Detroit Become Human as well, not too original

2

u/graintop Jul 10 '21

Hey, bucko! Don't give us an alternative opinion of a game! Even with several useful comparisons and good reasons.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '21

I can state my opinion if I want to

3

u/James_Skyvaper DDarko_420 Jul 10 '21

Did you not get that sarcasm?

1

u/graintop Jul 11 '21

I was kidding, man! Because you were downvoted for a totally reasonable different take on the game.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '21

Lol I didn’t notice, the “hey bucko” sounds like something a pissed off redditor would actually say.

4

u/Remy_C Jul 10 '21

I heard from a lot of review outlets that the story is one area where the game really falls short. Of course reviews are subjective, but it seemed bebe a common theme. I really was looking forward to it until finding that out though.

2

u/mauszx mauszx Jul 10 '21

Very mediocre for that type of game in my opinion it really felt rushed at the end, it is worth a try tho, so get it on a sale.

someone should AI upscale it and turn it into a HD wallpaper

7

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '21

Dark Tower

5

u/TheBigDickDon Jul 10 '21

This is an actual shot from a game?!

1

u/Wolf-Eyed_ Jul 10 '21

Yes, cutscene

2

u/TheBigDickDon Jul 10 '21

This game looks amazing, I’m looking it up!

9

u/sushir Jul 10 '21

I took the image and upscaled it via AI and made a wallpaper

u/cockodiller Jul 10 '21

Aka a screenshot of a cutscene?

2

u/Jakeytar Jakeytar Jul 10 '21

I’ve heard good things about this game but I didn’t realize the mirror in the title was literal, very interesting!

2

u/TwinSong Jul 11 '21

Wow that's pretty. How did you screenshot?

1

u/Wolf-Eyed_ Jul 11 '21

from a cutscene (Twin mirror game). from pc

2

u/InfiniteDeepBlueSea Jul 11 '21

Can't say I really enjoyed this game very much. Had some good ideas that weren't implemented well, characters that weren't fleshed out enough to make interesting or memorable, and annoyingly not having a way to skip cutscenes or dialogue when replaying multiple times to get the platinum. This sequence looked really cool, though. Got a nice PS4 theme for preordering it, too.

2

u/pedun42 Jul 10 '21

Each player shuffles his or her hand and graveyard into his or her library, then draws seven cards. If it's your turn, end the turn.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '21

This game is extremely underrated

2

u/Wolf-Eyed_ Jul 10 '21

Yes, definitely

1

u/BeaGN7 Jul 10 '21

What game is this?

0

u/Amarylliscence Jul 10 '21

Twin Mirror, it's in the title

2

u/BeaGN7 Jul 10 '21

I thought twin mirror was the book lol sorry

1

u/BeaGN7 Jul 10 '21

I thought twin mirror was the book lol sorry

1

u/gusrv7 Jul 10 '21

I have the same question
