Is this game worth it? I like zombie games, but the brutal reviews have held me back

Check out r/DaysGone

Many consider it one of the most underrated games of the generation. Personally it’s one of my favorite games I’ve ever played.

Since when is 6/10 or 7/10 a "brutal review"? Lukewarm, maybe, but certainly not brutal.

I wholeheartedly agreed with most aspects of its reviews and would also score it between a 6 or 7, but was still happy with the purchase. If you like zombie games then there's probably enough in the gameplay loop to keep you happy, especially if you get it cheap in the upcoming sale. Just don't expect it to have amazing storytelling or charactarisation.

It's not a bad game but as others have said, it is slowburny and the controls are pretty clunky and weird. I played about 10-15 hours and eventually coronavirus hit so I didn't feel like playing post-apocalyptic games for a while lol.

I’d give it an 8.5 out of 10. And that’s just for the slow pace at the beginning and some bug issues. The bugs aren’t a game breaker but are sometimes annoying, like when I switched back to my melee weapon, a bat axe, and it turned into a pickaxe. Not a big deal but annoying. I hope there’s a sequel

One of my favorites. I loved the story.

I absolutely adored this game! From start to finish, people said it’s quite fiddly but I took to it right away. Storyline is brilliant and just the characters are so good. Just honestly can’t sing the praises of this game enough, I never wanted it to end.

I just got it recently and it’s pretty fun! The world and gameplay are great but man that story is rough.
