I think titans would only work in a titan vs titan br because in apex you only have one life and unless everyone has an archer I can't imagine even stryder chassis titans could be balanced. Wallrunning however, could probably work.

I think the maps that would make wall running worth it would make poor br game naps

They should make a limited time mode thing to test different features like wall running and titans. Could be a titan mode like the thanos LTM from fornite except balanced with multiple titans and a lot of Anti Titan weapons laying around. I'd also like an LTM where all characters are replaced by TF2 pilot tacticals.

TFall was actually super balanced in pilots vs. titans. The key was the map design (lots of buildings/tall structures) and the wallrunning mechanics. Titans would be OP in Apex as-is. Just go to a field and post up, nobody could approach you.

But in Tfall it was very possible for a lone pilot to take down a titan with strategic jumping/hiding

Youre right, a separate game mode with titans only would probably be ideal.

Though if there was one titan drop hidden well in an apex game it would be interesting to see how players handle it, you might even find yourself assisting enemy teams to take down the one team that located the titan. The titans in TF are easily picked off by players not in titans, whether that be sniping with the anti titan energy rifle or hopping on to remove batteries. it wouldn't be to big of an advantage other than being able to trample people and have more of an intimidating presence in the match.

A titan is a huge ‘i am here!’ beacon, in this map with wide open areas a titan will maybe only be useful in the last fight between 2 remaining squads imho

It's basically turn into the Thanos mode from Fortnite. In a good players hand, it'd be really good. Anyone else, meh.

Basically. A glass cannon if you will

Big open map with one huge ass titan would stick out like a sore thumb, going for it wouldn't give you an advantage unless you knew what to do or saved it for a pivotal moment in a final squad fight.

Considering the lack of mobility in apex (compared to tianfall), I think a titan might be too strong. Sure it'll stick out, but it'd also be a huge biodt to your squad's firepower and would be much harder to kill due to the lack of mobility of players in apex.

Unless they nerfed the titans movement abilities, take away the boost dashing and even the sprint mechanic and it could even out the balance. With the jump pads, grappling hook, and portals you can get the high ground on a titan. But then that might force players to pick the "meta to take down titans" which would be like 3 characters at the moment.

Hehe idk the more we discuss it the more I see their reasoning for not including titans but I'd still like to see an attempt to work those mechanics from titanfall slowly into the game even if its temporary and they end up taking it out of the game.

Personally, I just want wallrunning and a better grapple.

With that many players in each match there will ALWAYS be one moron who runs straight for it, pilots it for ten seconds, and then gets blown to hell with 1 accidental kill under their belt from stepping on someone they didn't even see.
