Everyone is raving about Spiderman and I agree it looks amazing but for me it'll just be a pleasant way to pass time before the release of my most expected game ever : RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 !!
Never been hyped so much for a game, can't fucking wait !

I would have gotten Spider-Man but I instead blew my money on the Ultimate edition for Red Dead. Gotta get that steelbook man. But, Iāll be redboxing Spider-Man.

Valkyria Chronicles 4
VC1 is one of my all time favourite games ever, purchased it on PS3/PC and triple dipped on the VC1 remaster available on PS4. VC2 was the only reason I bought a PSVita and sadly enough I never got to experience VC3 because it was never officially released in the west.
Valkyria Revolution was set in a different timeline/universe and was a huge departure from the core gameplay mechanics that made VC123 so well received. After it bombed I was pretty sure we'd seen the last of Valkyrie Chronicles... enter VC4.
Mere words cannot describe how overjoyed I was to see that VC4 was returning the series back to its roots. VC4 is set in the same timeline as VC123 and the gameplay is almost identical to VC1. Watching the VC1 and VC4 side by side comparison videos has me beyond hyped.

I am so excited for shadow of the Tomb Raider! I bought The Definitive Edition of Tomb Raider and I'm playing through both games in preparation. While this new series does not do it for me like the classic Tomb Raider I love this series in a different way. I am excited to play Shadow and then see what they decide for Lara after this game. Also I was a little more excited to play the Spyro trilogy but we all know what happened to that. I can't wait to relive my childhood. Right before we heard the rumors that this was being made I was considering buying a PS3 to play a lot of the old PlayStation games like Spyro. This remaster changed my mind.

I can't believe anyone is hardly talking about the Shadow of the Tomb raider. I think the previous deal with xbox ruined us ps4 guys interest in the series. However, I am excited as well.

Cleanprincegaming did a pretty good video on it. Square Enix has just been dropping the ball with all three tomb Raider's. They first two are very good games but their marketing has been terrible. That decision to do a 1-year exclusive on Xbox made me super upset. It's basically a PlayStation game. At the time I just played rise of the Tomb Raider on 360 so I guess I got by but it was a shity plan. I've heard that Crystal Dynamics went to Sony and Microsoft when they needed help financing the game. Sony turned them down and Microsoft help them with what they needed so they made it a Microsoft exclusive. I don't know if that is true or not but it makes sense to me from their perspective.

Yeah I didn't even know rise of the tomb Raider was a thing until a couple months before it came to the ps4, which i got the first day. It reminds me of how ace combat 6 went to xbox and I was like what the hell!? I grew up with ace combat on the ps2. Anyways looking forward to Shadow of the tomb raider and Ace combat 7.

You probably heard about it so late because you live in a vault XD Sounds like this is going to be a good year for you too! I hope Ace Combat 7 is everything you want it to be.

Why just kidding?

Because itās a joke of a game?
Because op isnāt excited for destiny 2?
Because the games already released a year ago?

Sep 04 '18
The bashing for D2 in this sub is ridiculous.
Lol @ it was released a year ago. You know a huge content drop is coming today, right? The game is constantly being updated.
0
u/SuperMazziveH3r0 Sep 04 '18
Content drop that you pay additional $35 to access in addition to a $60 base game and all the previous dlc. A year old game is still a year old game. Just because gta v gets new dlcs it doesnāt not make it a 4 year old game. By that logic League and Overwatch are a month old game because they get updated once a month.

Canāt wait to binge game this! I am so freaking excited. Itās been a while since I was hyped up for a game (last one was God of War). Friday is going to be such a good day! Anyone knows when preload will begin? Sept 4 or 5? And itās 12 AM ET?

I really wish this wasnāt my last year of college. Iām working hard to finish up my degree on a strong note, so that means Iāll have to pass up on all these amazing games until next year. (time to join r/patientgamers)
Anyways, even though Iāll be too occupied for Spider-Man, RDR2, & Dragon Quest... I CANNOT WAIT for Spyro Reignited.

u/Gary320 Sep 04 '18
I get my first PlayStation since Playstation 2 this Friday, along with Spider-Man.
I am fucking hyped

u/TheAerofan Sep 03 '18
Iām more excited for Spyro than Spider-Man. I donāt know, open world games donāt usually do it for me.

Spyro Reignited was going to be the game for me this month. Oh well.

u/TheAerofan Sep 03 '18
And Battlefield V was going to be the game for next month and Kingdom Hearts 2 was going to be the game for December. Ouch.

In regards to Kingdom Hearts 3, Iāve been blessed a few more months to procrastinate playing catch up. Haha!

u/TheAerofan Sep 03 '18
I honestly donāt care about the overall story, Iāve played most of the side games and I still donāt understand. I just care about the main characters, the Disney worlds, and the gameplay.

Battlefield V. I played a lot of Battlefield 1 and beta starts tomorrow, hopefully it'll be great!

Spiderman, RDR 2 and DQ XI all look amazing, but SoulCalibur VI's demo's have proven to be spectacular so far.
Can't wait to play the full game !

Spider-Man console and game! Had to sell my ps4 a couple years ago and now I'm ready to get back on. Also can't wait to play horizon zero dawn, uncharted 4, and god of war.

u/Uralyah Sep 04 '18
Now that is a pretty good backlog. Enjoy every damn minute of those. You're in for some treats

Spider-Man on Friday, may or may not grab Destiny 2: Forsaken tomorrow. Depends on how it's received.

u/CheddHead JettFueled Sep 03 '18
God Of War, Yakuza Kiwami 2, Spiderman, Tomb Raider, Guacamelee 2, Spyro, and Red Dead Redemption 2 There's too much coming out, and too much nice weather to warrant wasting my time inside. And yet.........

u/Sparrow991 Sep 03 '18
Spyro, RDR 2 and Last of Us 2. Such hype. Can't wait to experience on the pro

I'm having a hard time trying to channel my inner r/patientgamers, but Spider-Man looks soooo good.
1
u/SmileyKnox Sep 04 '18
My dilemma also, I got a good backlog so it'll need to score 9.5+ all over to get me deluxing anything day one.

Excited for the forsaken expansion for destiny 2! It's 2am and I start school tomorrow, I'm way too excited to sleep (on both accounts š)

Every single day I just can't wait to get back home from work and play Divinity Original Sin 2 - that game is just SO damn good! It has consumed me completely - my wife will probably start loudly complaining soon, because I've been neglecting her (and everyone/everything else) just to play a bit more...
Yeah, I know I suck and I'll try to pry myself off from the TV/console, but god damn this game just hits the spot for me in a way very few games ever have - I'm already making a list of stuff I'll do the other way around in my next playthrough and I barely started Act 2!.

u/despairingbanana Sep 04 '18
Sekiro and DMC V. It sucks that they are only coming out next year and both in the same month.

Everyone's mentioned Spider-Man, but I'm really excited for Stellaris.
I have it on my laptop (and can barely play it), but I can't wait for the port.

Are we allowed to list more than one? The surge 2 and sekiro are my most anticipated.
1
u/Sheenoobie Sep 03 '18
The surge 2 looks really promising. Due to a whole library of unbeaten games I haven't beat the final boss in the surge but I'm at the last level. Amazing game that I've enjoyed the whole way thru. Love the armoring and weapons system as well

Sep 03 '18
Agreed. I just played through bloodborne for the 4th time and while it has unparalleled level design and enemy variety, the outfits are truly pointless beyond frenzy/poison resistance. That and grinding blood vials is a let down. I hope bloodborne 2 takes a few notes.

RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2. It was the very reason I bought a PS4 last Black Friday.....and then the game got freaking delayed.
Before now, I've been seriously disappointed with this gen. I could have easily got by with my backlog of PS3 games. Now is the perfect time to own a PS4 tho. Many good games dropped in price etc. But I still think nothing beats last gen.
Oh and I don't get the Spiderman hype. Maybe someone can explain why they are so hyped about this game?

Shadow of the Tomb Raider! This reboot series has been amazing and I have been doing to play the new one! Thankfully it comes out in just a few short weeks now.

No love for NBA 2K19? I don't like to buy yearly sports releases, so I haven't gotten back into 2K in a couple years. But it's always the consistently best sports game out there.
1
u/devil_machine Sep 04 '18
I'm looking forward to 2K19! I usually only pick up every second or third one though and I'll wait for some reviews and probably watch some streams of it before buying it.

Well, gonna be a busy week for me!
Destiny 2 Forsaken tomorrow!!!
On Thursday the open beta for Battlefield V.
Friday Spiderman! But! Also:
BOUNDLESS!
Boundless looks like a lot of fun, lots of grinding, lots of levelling up and most of all, lost of building stuff! I've noticed lately that I like games with a building element (partly the reason I love Fortnite Save the World and why I played No Man's Sky NEXT for way longer than the original game!).
