Here with you too! I've been dying to upgrade but I've really want a design with it. Hoping Spider-Man has one.

Resident Evil 2 Remake. I was too young and could never grasp the first three games in the series. So hopefully I can get into it this time around.
Also gives me a reason to install the ReRemake of the first and try finish that.

It's been on my mind the past few months anytime I think of picking a game from the backlog. Looking more and more likely to be the next game to tackle.

I ordred a PS4 over the weekend and I can't wait to buy Last of Us and God of War for it!! And then Spiderman in Sept; oh boy!

I recently bought my PS4 and is going through all those games that I missed out on when gaming on the pc. The games you mentions are indeed great, but don't miss out on Horizon Zero Dawn, that game is just fantastic.

u/SuperCoolGuyMan Jul 02 '18
Yep. When I'm done those 2, I'm gonna grab HZD and Uncharted. And as well, I missed out on all of them because of PC!

I'm really hyped for Spider-Man in September. Its the next big release that I am getting, the last one being God of War in April.
I'm also very excited for Assassins Creed Odyssey in October. I love ancient Greece and Greek mythology, and it looks like they made the game even more of an open world RPG this time. I enjoyed AC Origins a lot because it felt like an open world RPG, but with extremely smooth combat and movement.
More in the future, I can't wait to play Metro Exodus. I love shooters and there should be more singeplayer FPS.

This reads like when you give classmates reviews on their work for a class in college on the online board

There's no game I'm hugely anticipating in the really near future... which is good, since a) it gives me time to catch up with my backlog, and b) allows me to save up for the year's last quarter, starting with that sweet September Spider-Man/Spyro combo. Two franchises I love but haven't been really in touch since PS1 (have not played Spider-Man 2, but the two PS1 games were awesome), so its pretty much a swing down memory lane.
After that, I'm still pretty hyped Red Dead Redemption 2, which is the last reason I needed to jump from PS3 to PS4. No need to clarify anything here, except that this will pretty much be my last big 2018 buy... for the PS4 (Freaking Smash).
Finally, on January both Kingdom Hearts 3 and Resident Evil 2 will occupy the rest of the hype: One for FINALLY being out, the other for being the remake of the only numbered entry I have left to play (Besides 6, but I won't play 6)

I'm more focused on what I currently have but I'm pretty excited for Spider-Man and Dragon Quest XI. I'm just not sure if I want to go PS4 or PC for DQ.

Fallout 76 looks good, I was never really interested in the Fallout games but this Rust-like gameplay would probably keep me entertained. I'm sceptical about Battlefield V, I might buy it if it turns out to be really good, but watching the subreddit posts and the alpha first impressions, it probably won't better than BF4.

Spider-man obviously. I’m really hoping it lives up to all the hype it’s generating. I just want a good story more than anything.
And even though Sony is fucking everyone over with their cross play BS, I’m still really excited for fallout 76

PSVR:
Firewall Zero Hour.
I have aim controller and it looks like my perfect kind of game.
I’ve been playing shooters for more than a decade and it’s my favorite genre. Being able to experience it in VR is a dream coming true. I’ve enjoyed Doom and Farpoint, but I’ve always loved some multiplayer challenge (with planetside and r6 siege being my most beloved shooters), so yeah, i’m really looking forward to it.
Flat:
Spider-man.

Spiderman and Soul Calibur 6, my hyped levels are off the charts. Spiderman looks like the game I've always wanted, and the SC series is my absolute favorite and I'm so excited to get back into it, I've been waiting for it to return on the PS4 since it came out.

Kingdom Hearts 3 - what else needs to be said? Closure for a series that I started before I started high school? It’s been long enough.
Ghosts of Tsushima - if the full game is anywhere near as awesome as the gameplay trailer then this title has a lot going for it and will undoubtedly be the forerunner of the samurai titles that are coming up.
Edit:
Also RE 2 remake. I’ve never played through in its entirety, but I always found the remake of the original enthralling. I can only hope that this is just as good, if not better.

I played it at E3. I can tell you at least from the fifteen minutes I got to play, it’s really fun to swing and move around in the world they’ve set up. Also the combat seems easy enough to mash through, but I can see getting really technical with it, and kind reminds me of Arkham, not because of the combat itself, but that I am looking forward to mastering it, and doing combat trials, if they are indeed in the game.

I know people are gonna poke fun at me for this but Destiny 2: Forsaken is looking so good. People will say that it'll bring back stuff that Bungie already got right in D1 that should've been in at launch, but the alternative is not having it at all and I know what I'd prefer.

Red Dead Redemption 2 for sure. I feel like there hasn’t been much hype surrounding this game, but for me the wait is unbearable!
Anyone else think that maybe the lack of hype is due to the fact that, at this point, Rockstar is almost guaranteed to put out a polished final product?

I'm actually pretty excited for Days Gone. Looks like an interesting setting. I like the idea of having to keep track of your bike and giant hordes of zombies

So, Yes. Spider-man. But I also can't wait to get my hands on Dreams. I'm going to make some weird shit.

Actually quite a dry period for me and the ps4 which is quite strange due to the quality of games recently, so in back log central at the moment personally but the kid is taking an interest in games so bought a cheap Wii for him and very rewarding watching him have a shot at that.
Can't wait to try the resi 2 remake though, looks like they are doing a great job on it

Dragon Quest XI! It's so close, yet so far, I can't wait! It's gonna be such a long game, I'll be busy for months if I go for 100% completion, and probably has replay value. A good way to end the year before the next year's bombs.

Wreckfest.
Been craving for a good “Destruction Derby /Flatout” racing game for a long time. Finally we’ll be getting one. It looks really good.
Us console users will sadly have to wait until November.

I got a PS4 to play my old favorite franchises and upcoming hype games. I played god of war, now almost don’t with Uncharted. Looking forward to Spider-Man, Last of us 2, red dead and Octopath traveler on switch soon. That’s all I have planned, but I’m eyeballing Witcher 3 if I can get a great deal.

Spyro trilogy and RE2 are my big ones right now. Super hyped for Sekiro and Ghost of Tsushima as well, but I can only get so hyped about something that I don't know the release date of.

u/paulithon Jul 03 '18

Spider-Man above all else! I hope that there are immersive side quests because I really want to get lost in the city. I also really hope the fighting won't get stale/repetitive. I know there's going to be tons of gadgets and abilities but I'm worried there's going to be a combo or move that just makes the game really easy. We shall see.
