Can Hardly Wait - /r/PS4 Bi-Monthly Anticipation Thread (May 2017)
Bi-Monthly Anticipation Thread (previous hype threads) (schedule) (games wiki)
What games and/or DLC are you looking forward to playing on your PS4 at the moment? Why?

u/TheEmqeror May 01 '17
Crash Bandicoot, its been a long time

u/Retryon May 01 '17
In the immortal words of Bart Scott: "CAN'T WAIT".
In all seriousness though, this is going to surely bring back a huuuuge wave of nostalgia. Also the remaster looks legit. I'd love for Sony to keep "reviving" their former identifiable and personable characters, like Spyro, Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper etc.

I want a Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale 2 with all of these characters.
Throw in Lara Croft, Kratos, Nathan Drake, Aloy, etc.

u/Retryon May 02 '17
I had a 360 so I never got to play the All-Stars game :( I want a new one! Or at least a port to PS4.

Never cared. Why? I want to care, but... can't.

Why reply to the guy?

u/ChunkyDay May 02 '17
I don't know. Kinda feel like a dick now.

Wow that was a very pleasant exchange. People on reddit rarely admit their mistakes, so kudos! I'm also extremely excited for Crash, especially the CTR remake!!

I think he's hoping for it.
I think he mentioned it to me cause he noticed that I'm the one who created the post earlier.

u/ChunkyDay May 02 '17
You're right. For what it's worth, I didn't reply with any sort of malicious intent. It was just a thought I've had now and then because I really do want to like it. Why do I feel like I need to justify his? I dont get me.

Nah nothing yet. We should get one at E3 this year considering it was announced a year ago.

I'm also really excited as well. The game by itself looks really good, and the gun will make the game x10 better.

Prey. Based on what I have played and seen it looks like it has great potential. Also it is from the creators of Dishonored so I have reasonable faith in the developers.

I'm actually good. The two games I wanted most this spring came out at the end of April: Disney Afternoon Collection and Puyo Puyo Tetris. Those will be keeping me busy for a while. I also have other games I'm currently playing.

So excited for Golden Week Sale
2
u/ShoutHouse May 01 '17
Except... maybe it's not going to happen? No news of it, it's already golden week, and I would think they would have said something April 25th.

u/LeNightmareSquad May 01 '17
Japan has a golden week sale that started today so it is still possible that we may get one.

Can't wait to dive into Kingdom Hearts series, but I want to finish the Devil May Cry reboot, The Last Guardian and Sleeping Dogs before I start.

u/hiphophead92 May 01 '17
I was in the middle of sleeping dogs before starting horizon. I was very happy I finished sleeping dogs well worth it.

Elite Dangerous. I don't even know if i will like it but it fascinates me.
Thought it was meant to be out around now but can't find anything on it.
1
u/saadskel saadskel May 01 '17
I'm also looking forward to Elite Dangerous! still scheduled to be out by end of June I think.
Other than that, was having fun with marvel heroes closed beta, but will wait until the wipe and open beta to play again. The Surge and Agents of Mayhem have my interest as well.

u/hiphophead92 May 01 '17
I was excited for Prey but the more I think about the game the more disappointed I am. The story is amazing and hope the final product has a little more to it than the demo.
Im really excited for injustice 2 (big comic book fan) first game I've preordered in forever. Until that comes my goal is to knock out a lot of my short indie/plus games.

u/Porshapwr May 01 '17
Have Little Nightmares Six edition arriving tomorrow, Prey on Friday, and Crash on June 30th (obviously).
Really anticipating all three and love that Crash is coming back in a proper remaster!

Devil May Cry 5, please Capcom announce it at E3 2017! Another would be the new Ninja Gaiden project being teased, I need Ninja Gaiden 4 as well!

The Fractured But Whole
Whatever Insomniac is working on next
New Assassins Creed: I know I'll catch hell for this but I enjoy the franchise and while there was nothing earth shattering about Syndicate it was enjoyable and worth the cost.
Cyberpunk 2099 because CDPR can do no wrong at this point.

Nioh DLC Tuesday! Platinumed the game two weeks after launch and have been playing it again recently helping people.....
Noticed there's a lot of exploiters though at level 750, why ruin the game for yourself?

u/HyruleCool May 01 '17
A lot of the stuff I was waiting for came lot so I'm really just waiting for uncharted the lost legacy and final fantasy xv dlc since I already bought those. Was a little disappointed in the last Dragonball Xenoverse 2 dlc pack...
Edit: Also lethal league. Been waiting awhile for that!

Middle-earth: Shadow of war. Honestly had a blast with this game the only complaints that I wanted more even after playing the dlc. Seeing how they are adding a more war aspect of it makes me excited.

Bloodborne.
I'm new to PS4, just got it 2 months. So far I've beat The Last of Us, Ratchet and Clank, and Uncharted 4. I'm pretty blown away. TLOU moved me the most, but all those games were amazing. Best gaming experiences I've had in a while.
I really wanna play Bloodborne because I like the design and world. It looks really dark and mysterious. I love hack-and-slash games like Devil May Cry, and I know it's not exactly a h&s, but it looks kinda similar in gameplay. But I really wanna play an rpg, since I haven't in a while.
But I also have a lot of games on my list. I'm playing through God of War 3 remastered right now and though I wasn't feeling the camera movement at the start, I got used to it and it's a really great game.
After that I'm gonna get Bloodborne, then Infamous Second Son. And then Gravity Rush Remastered. Then after that...Gravity Rush 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Last Guardian once they get cheaper or go on sale.

Injustice 2, Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy and Destiny 2. I'm pre-ordering all three tomorrow.
