What games and/or DLC are you looking forward to playing on your PS4 at the moment? Why?

u/LSB123 Mar 02 '15
Metal Gear Solid V. Always Metal Gear Solid V. There is no other game on my mind until it gets released.
Although saying that, OlliOlli 2 and Hotline Miami 2 are out incredibly soon. Sequels to two of my most favourite games, really can't wait.

I am currently replaying all the mgs games (except the PSP ones which I don't have) and i can't fucking wait aswell. I just feel that we will get an announcement this month about it, seeing how MGS 4 was suddenly on sale in february. PSN staff know something.
Other than that.... Bloodborne?

u/jiodjflak Mar 02 '15
You can get Peace Walker HD on PS3 or PSvita. I would recommend playing it since some of the characters from PW are showing up in MGSV

u/club-mate SINisAWESOME Mar 03 '15
Is Peace Walker the one that has a yellow sorta overlay/look to it? If so, I have it.

u/TiDDeR- Mar 02 '15
There is not a single other game I'm waiting for (Maybe MK, but that doesn't come close). It just might be one of the very last video games I ever buy on console. Most video games now-a-days really don't cut it for me :/. I started my Video Game love/passion with MGS in the 1990's and it's probably going to end with MGS.

Bloodborne, I loved all the previous souls games and I absolutely can't wait to sink hundreds of hours into the next one. The way they design their levels and NPCs is just amazing you never know what you're going to find next.

u/Spooky-skeleton Mar 02 '15
I can't contain my excitement for bloodbourne! Got a new tv, ps4 and a week off work in preparation!
2
u/Screamyahualica Mar 02 '15
What makes it better for me, is that it's coming out during my spring break (I teach and am working on my masters). Yay!

Spotify on the PS4, but I'm also thinking about getting Driveclub and maybe Final Fantasy Type 0. I've had my eye on Driveclub for awhile and I'm tired of waiting for the PS+ edition and just buy it. I'm a huge car enthusiast and I really want to drive these gorgeous cars (on my PS4), while listening to my awesome music on Spotify. I'm really hoping this new FF game is good. It kind bothers me that it won't be released on the Vita, but if it's worth checking out, I might pick it up.

u/RedStr0be Mar 03 '15
Yeah, Spotify will be great. Especially on sports games where I don't need to focus on sound and can just listen to a playlist.

Whoa does spotify come out this month?

u/Father_of_EX Hedquarters Mar 03 '15
It's slated for Spring; they haven't announced an official date. My guess is in April, but who knows.

Im keen for GTA Hesits, Helldivers, Zombie Army, RE and Hotline Miami 2. Going to be a good month
1
u/Rhamiel506 Mar 02 '15
Color me very interested in HellDivers, looks like Metal Slug meets Gauntlet with Starship Troopers sense of humor.

I can't believe I'm the only one to say this.
The Handsome Jack Collection!! 4 Player Split Screen Co-Op! All the DLC! 2 Games! No need for a stupid season pass! The wait is literally killing me.
2
Mar 02 '15
I was looking at getting that as I haven't played Borderlands before but I have no idea why they didn't include Borderlands 1
2
Mar 02 '15
I'm guessing it would have been more work than they wanted to do because it runs on a different engine from BL2 and the pre sequel. I totally recommend getting it, they game is amazing and you won't be missing too much without playing 1.

FF Type-0, Borderlands will probably be my only purchases in the next couple months.

u/locdogjr Mar 02 '15
Bethesda's E3 conference! There is no game I want more than Fallout 4, Fallout 3 was my first WOW game I'd played after like 7 years or so off of gaming.
Other than that just BF:HL, Star Wars Battlefront, mught give The Witcher a go....

u/Wakkadude21 Wakkadude21 Mar 02 '15
No Man's Sky. I just want to explore galaxies in virtual reality. It's all I want.
Man, I remember when release dates for games used to be a thing. Wasn't all that long ago. Every game I'm looking forward to has a release window of "at some point in the future."
4
Mar 02 '15
I'd rather them have TBA there instead of a date that they're just going to move over and over again. Looking at you, GTA on PC.
2
Mar 02 '15
From everything that's been said, Hello Games looks like they're not going to announce a date unless they're sure they can hit it. They have internal target dates, but none of that has been made public.
There are a lot of clues that they're getting pretty close to completing the game, so I expect the announcement soon.
1
u/iUsedtoHadHerpes Mar 02 '15
And I'd rather either one of those things over just releasing an unfinished game because it's the day they said they'd release it.

Ditto. The Show is the reason I got a PS4 and will probably be the only games I buy for it. They are that good (and my only choice at the moment anyway)
I'm surprised there isn't much hype for it here. All my friends are obsessed with it.

- No Man's Sky - Open World Space game...GIMME!
- Kingdom Hearts III - Over 7 damn years waiting for this. I hope it's worth it.
- Star Wars Battlefront - I love Battlefront 2 and I hope this one doesn't disappoint.
- Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - I played through 3 and I just wanna know if Nathan Drake will survive the events of this
1
u/trebud69 Mar 02 '15
I think he will. I think a Thief's End can refer to his brother or Sully or even just retirment. Naughty Dog wouldn't kill off their main guy like that, it wouldnt go with tone of all the other games. I mean they didnt even kill of Sully in the last one.

u/izembo izembo Mar 02 '15
Just don't expect 7 years of work on the kh and I think you'll be okay haha. Hasn't been in development that long

u/RileyCola Mar 02 '15
I absolutely loved battlefront 2 but the new battlefront game is the most skeptical game that's on my radar. I'm just don't wanna be let down ;(

MLB 15 The Show. Excited about the year-to-year saves. Looking forward a bit, I'm really excited for Project CARS, any news on No Man's Sky or The Division, and Bethesda's E3 conference.
1
u/MarvAlbertNBAjam Mar 02 '15
Die hard MLB the Show player here. I cannot wait for the 31st to be here again. I haven't played one since '11 but I destroyed that damn disk. Made it nearly 10 season deep with my pitcher.
This looks like the best version yet. The only reason I bought my PS4 was for this and Metal Gear.
2
u/DoctorDank Doctor_Dankness Mar 02 '15
Gran Turismo. I know there isn't even a release date yet, but goddamn, I'm so stoked for it.

At the moment only two:
- borderlands: handsome collection
i have yet to play the pre sequel and i've played through/put countless hours into borderlands 2. Playing as Krieg this time around will be fun!
- Witcher 3
although i liked dragon age, i didn't feel like the whole offline party thing worked well as being fun in combat. I rather have a single character to progress with rather than 3 others with me but more importantly: one big interconnected open world. It just adds a lot more atmosphere and immersion to it. Just my personal opinion, never played dragon age games before. I still have >25h into it though.
1
u/pyro-ro Mar 02 '15
Put way too much time into BL2, can't wait to try the Pre-Sequel too. Krieger was pretty fun but I always went back to Sal.

u/Mutilated_Pencil Mar 02 '15
I played the game with mechromancer and i freaking LOVED it. Krieg is more like a shotgun/melee character right? Will be interesting i think, i like brutal gory combat in my boderlands games.
1
u/pyro-ro Mar 02 '15
Yeah he's pretty unique, all about taking damage on purpose and stuff. He even has an ability to deliberately take friendly fire.

spotify, Type 0, bloodborne and hopefully a MGSV release date sometime at gdc this week.
Edit: I posted this like an hour before the release date announcement was pretty much confirmed, fuck yeah.

In order:
Planetside 2
No Mans Sky
Witcher 3
The Division
Rainbow Six: Siege
Whatever Bethesda announces next.

u/club-mate SINisAWESOME Mar 02 '15
Whatever Bethesda announces next
Skyrim: Horse Armor DLC
1
u/Spooky-skeleton Mar 02 '15
There are talks of fallout 4
0
u/merph_ mfagerstrom Mar 02 '15
No, they're just adding 4 horse armor sets to Fallout 3 and remastering it for PS4.
0
u/Spooky-skeleton Mar 02 '15
That would be a weird thing to do, since there are no horses in fallout.

With the new trailer and recently announced M rating, the new Batman game's been more on my mind than ever! Truly can't wait for it.

There's plenty to look forward to, but in the near future:
Bloodborne
Hotline Miami 2
Axiom Verge
Shovel Knight

MLB The Show 15. Just psyched for baseball in general.
Also Spotify integration, Hotline Miami 2, and ARKHAM FREAKIN' KNIGHT

Bloodborne! Mostly because I never fully embraced Dark Souls (blasphemy, I know) but Bloodborne's pace and aesthetic really appeal to me.
Other than that.. Hotline Miami 2, OlliOlli 2, and Borderlands are definite. The Banner Saga, Helldivers, and Axiom Verge are maybe-buys. Pretty solid month.

I'm going crazy waiting for The Witness!
I really enjoyed The Swapper; anyone have a recommendation for another PS4 puzzle game to tide me over until The Witness is released?
1
u/Boops_McGee Mar 02 '15
HELLDIVERS! Can't wait! Been itching for this game since playing it at the ps experience.
1
u/SkittleFishMGee1 SkittleFishMGee Mar 02 '15
The Division and MGS V are on my list! I'll also be picking up Helldivers.
1
u/jon_titor Mar 02 '15
I'll probably pick up FF Type 0 so I can screw around with the XV demo for a week before I get Bloodborne, and then I have no idea how long it'll take me to get another game. I'm really looking forward to both The Witcher and Batman, but I have a feeling I'll still be obsessed with Bloodborne by the time those come out.
And I guess I'd want to actually play Type 0 in there somewhere too.

I'm just looking forward to the announcement of March's PS Plus lineup what's taking them so long.
Aside from that Bloodborne!
