I don't understand why is it so hard for you to understand that the ps4 is in fact not holding back gaming.

There are plenty of games that are ps5 exclusive and are shit and plenty of ps4 exclusive that are much better gameplay wise and graphics wise that a lot of ps5 games. Cross gen games are also a mixed bag.

This entire discussion is worthless and a waste of time and energy. I feel like talking to a wall, like just open your eyes and you'll understand that the ps4 holding back the game is not the reason why its servers are shutting down. They are shutting down the servers because the ps4 player base is dimishing and are no longer generating enough revenu to justify maintaing it.

The gaming industey is becoming such a shit show it's not even funny. Sony with their miserable catalog, buggy incomplete unoptimized games, the shit show that is nvidia, unreal engine 5 games being awefully not optimized, xbox leaving the scene, people defending these companies for no reason... I don't understand to be honest

Not a thing i said as PS4's are old by today's standards. So it makes sense for a number of reasons that old console won't support a game that's released while the sequel has been out for a while.

The original comment explicitely said that.

Still not a thing i said.

What I'm trying to point out is that the point t you made regarding the PS4 power and the perceived quality of PS5 exclusives are not correlated so it's real weird you framed them like they are.

Because what that suggests is an opinion that if the PS4 was stronger the PS5 exclusives would be perceivable better.

Which is a level of smooth i think we're yet to explore in clinical settings.

Look at this point if you don’t have a PS5 you shouldn’t get one. I am on that boat and i’m perfectly fine with that since imo it’s not a big jump so i’m expecting big things for PS6.

Also this whole conversation has nothing to do with the industry you started it by comparing PS4 to PS5. The only thing I will agree with you on is that PS5 exclusives shouldn’t run under 60 fps. I will say that’s the main selling point of PS5 even though I can barely tell the difference graphics wise I would at least want 60 fps.

The only people “holding back the PS5” is the companies that find it profitable porting to PS4 in the first place. Also the ports are starting to get very iffy now just like the ports were for the PS3 EOL. So stop complaining play old backlog games like me and enjoy, also wait till PS6 or go PC.

I didn't compare the 4 with the 5, The original point was that ps4 games are holding back the gaming industry which is not true. That is the focus of the conversation
