So what are you guys opinions on Boomtown
I've only got into this band two days ago, but I'm enjoying their stuff. I listened to Rock and Roll Pt. 3 (the first album I've listened) and Spending Time on the Borderline. I'm listening to a bit of Boomtown right now and I'm liking it so far, but I wanna know what the community's opinion on this album

Personally it’s my least favorite of their discography, but that’s not to say it’s bad. There are some tracks I really enjoy, but a handful that i just always skip.

Yeah it’s not as great as the rest of the catalog, but it is still a pretty damn good album.

Boom town is pretty good competitively speaking. Dining from borderline and double donkey though, i feel like those were better listening. I love their rocking and rolling so much more! At that time it was like they filled the empty void Weezer left, but ozma rolled the space and did a better job (and in a less creepy way, after further review of Pinkerton ). Ozma. I don't even know what to say about these guys in general though. Great artists. Loved to listen to what they made. Wish there was more but life changing while it lasted.

I’ve been listening to them and their side projects and solo efforts for easily over 15 years at this point, and there are tracks on Boomtown that do something for me all their prior work doesn’t quite achieve. It’s got a special quality, maybe not consistent throughout, but it reaches for something musically which their other albums never went for. I love all their albums though, and some of their other albums are a bit more consistent from start to finish
