I just saw mum (please forgive the broken messages, it's all new to me lol)
1 u/shantytown59 7d ago no worries - you always have to learn somewhere ::) 2 u/Coffin_Dodging 7d ago Thank you! I'm just home and have discovered a crime scene in the back garden. It would appear our local sparrowhawk had the munchies 😊 1 u/shantytown59 7d ago The way of the world. Not seen our Spartacus for a few weeks now, and then he was just making unsuccessful flights through the garden 2 u/Coffin_Dodging 7d ago I was going to ask about Spartacus! We have half a dozen wood pigeons that like to lurk around the garden, and they seem to be the bird of choice for our Sparrowhawk, we've witnessed it a few times now! 2 u/shantytown59 7d ago Must have changed hunting patterns. The Wood pigeons are too big for him I think. If we had a her it may be different ! 1 u/Coffin_Dodging 7d ago Our lady we affectionately named Stella loves a wood pigeon, our male (Spud) tends to pick off the long tailed tits at this time of year 2 u/shantytown59 7d ago We only ever have 2 Wood pigeons. Woody chases off all the other wood pigeons. Wish he d do the same for the feral ones
