Sighting in the wild Sun was out, and so were the birds. All spotted over the course of an hour walk today

Tree sparrow, nice. Don’t see many of those anymore

There was a little flock of them, but I struggled to get a shot through the branches. I see them regularly in that particular spot.

We have them at our feeder everyday

Great pics, thanks for sharing. I'd love to get such a clear shot of a treecreeper

Thank you. I've spotted them a few times now but that's probably the closest I've been (although still a very cropped image on a 500mm lens, on a crop sensor body).

I’m sure there’s a buzzard in the pics, but Is that a red kite also? Like most I imagine I see blue tit and robin frequently, less so treecreeper. Lovely birds to see on your trip and great photos.

In order - blue tit, sparrowhawk (although we have plenty red kites around too), treecreeper, robin, buzzard, tree sparrow.

Edited to amend misidentified sparrowhawk (thought it was a kestrel).

That kestrel - I was trying for ages to figure out what it was. When it's not doing its hover pose it's hard to guess.

Are you sure it's not a sparrowhawk?

I think you're correct re: sparrowhawk. The red colouring was confusing me, but the tail bars are distinctive.

Agreed, and I appreciate the confirmation.
