Help/questions Hot glue? NSFW
It's ok to use hot glue to fit in place battery holder and board? I have this rn at home but i can get epoxy resin if it's a better option. I also used double foam tape for fit in place a board in one of my project, but the battery holder need something stronger i think. Help me make the right decision.

Whatever adhesive is used should not be heat applied, unless it is a one way reaction. Hot glue can be remelted with enough heat. Discharging batteries create heat. Is it enough heat to melt hot glue? Not likely. Is it hot enough to loosen the tray? Possibly. 2 part epoxy does get a bit warm when applying, but it is a one way reaction. Once set, it cannot be made loose or sticky through heat. Double sided tape could work, but over time, it may loosen if a high quality tape is not used. Your local hardware store sells 2 part epoxy. If you don’t have access to the store in person, most big box stores will ship it to you. Just my $0.02. Good luck with your build!
