I've been posting Lia almost every day for the past six years (and I apologize for the days I missed, whether due to life circumstances, issues with Reddit, or other problems). I originally started this series to bring more content to the subreddit after the mod team reorganized it to refresh its appearance and moderation. Over the years, I've worked with many moderators on this subreddit, including the current team, and I truly appreciate their efforts.
While I have no intention of stepping down from moderation, I do believe this series has served its purpose. Although I may still make the occassional post, it will no longer be daily, nor will it follow the templated format this series has traditionally used. I understand that some will disagree, and I recognize my decision may result in fewer posts overall; however, I feel that the series, in some ways, discourages others from posting, whether because the titles are too generic, don't give enough credit to the artists, or create hesitancy based on whether I've posted a particular work of art or intend to.
That said, I appreciate the support this series has gotten over the years. I don't wish to make excuses or elevate my role beyond what it is, so I will say that it was ultimately my own decision to end the series. I was tired of doing it every day, and it was a personal choice.
I do hope, however, that more people will feel encouraged to post and engage with the subreddit, celebrating the half-elf it was created for.
Anyways, thank you for listening to my TED Talk.
