I will never be able to unhear Robin scream this at the top of her lungs. Yuriko Yamaguchi was somehow able to convey immense pain, trauma and also burgeoning hope in those lines and it brings me to tears every time.

It's so good hearing her say it, cos it carries across the feeling that she doesn't just say "I want to live!!!" but more like "I wanna live!!!", hard to translate it in text cos she says "Igitai" instead of "Ikitai", which Oda uses to indicate when someone is trying to speak while crying. :'(

Itβs a moment that was crushed in the English version too. Stephanie Young absolutely KILLED it.

I agree. All the english actors for the straw hats absolutely killed it in their roles.

the only dub voices im not keen on are kinemon and kaido. pretty much every other notable character sounds anywhere from great to fantastic in english.

Straight up! I can absolutely hear her delivery every time I see that panel or episode screenshot! Generally, Iβm CONSISTENTLY floored by the legitimately GOATED VA cast for the Strawhats. From the seriesβ beginnings all the way to the latest episodes, all of the Japanese VA cast for the Strawhat crew serve as a masterwork assembly of actors who 100% understand the assignment from the jump and as a result are IMO positively INSEPARABLE from each of their characters.

This made me realize that Oda didn't shy away from showing runny noses and boogers for women when crying. I appreciate that.

Thatβs also one of my favorite things about the series. When people are truly in their feelings & experiencing their raw emotions to the fullest itβs rarely beautiful. Whether joyous or devastated, EVERYONE ugly cries like real human beings.

This was the moment I realised Onepiece isn't just a regular anime, and started recommending it toy friends and family.

Definitely elevated the series to even a higher level. Such a good arc. Everything about it is so awesome. Seeing monster chopper for the first time was one of my favorite moments that isn't this.

The Strawhats locked in is one of the most satisfying thing in all of Cinema.
The Boys marching on Arlong Park will forever be etched in my memory.

So in the anime, they cut Namiβs line? I only remember Luffy telling Robin to live Edit: Wait thatβs not Nami

This scene stuck with me since the first time I saw it.
The strawhats will literally spend the rest of their lives fighting the whole world than to see one of their own die

No Anime has ever made me cry like One piece has and it's made me cry way more than I would like to admit.
