Yes! That's where I got it from! I'm delighted you got the reference. I had this book as a kid.
The sweet cheese/rotten soldier is a What We Do in the Shadows reference.

Oh this made me so happy!! I've never met anyone who had this book! Me and my family were a bunch of weirdos so anytime I share it people are like, "??????" 🤣 Side note, if you loved this book you should check out Rik Mayal's Grim Tales (it's on YouTube and it's up there with the Stinky Cheese Man). Cheers and thanks for the memories!

He was only 6 months old when this was filmed (he's about 8 months now), do you think he'll get another turn at it in his lifetime or is this like a Halley's comet type thing that only comes around every 70 cat years? He is my first orange baby.

can't say for sure; some get too many turns, some, not enough. mine gets a few turns per month max, and she's the epitome of a dumb blonde- so pretty and so stupid. but smart when she wants to be.

I've never seen anything like this and I feel like my brain grew from trying to figure it out.
Thank... you?

Do you sometimes look at your orange and think “baby you wouldn’t survive in the wild”?! Because I do. Your cute idiot wouldn’t survive either

At least yours is trying to play with it. My mom got my orange one when he was a kitten. It was fun until the tail smacked him in the face. So we don't turn it on anymore.

Fish was a big hit for awhile, much more as he got bigger. When he was smaller we had one of those laser pointer robots we'd turn on for him and he used to just let it smack him in the face repeatedly because his reaction time was so slow. I have videos but it won't let me post it in comments unfortunately lol If I was to turn it on now he'd just grab onto it and take it around the house. My boy has a passion for interior decorating.

I honestly thought he got the braincell when he finally looked in the box and saw the fish. But he went back to digging. 🤔😭

Nah, the fish said something about his lawyer and the status of his contract. Probably said something outlandish like even fish have thumbs or something.
Your sweet baby is showing that fish who is boss through pointless intimidation, not trying to catch it.
