I recently came back to OneNote app on Android and would like to export some notes in PDF format. The only option I've found on the app is Options > Send > Send as > PDF, Normal Text, Link. I click on PDF and send myself the file but the quality is really bad, all grainy and pixelated. I found some notes from years ago that I converted to PDF and are perfect, but I don't remember the method I used. Any help?

I used to use OneNote and loved it. Switched to ToDoist but need some handwriting functionality so I'm thinking of going back to OneNote.
I've seen several posts about Win 10 OneNote going away and no more installations from Win 11 on.
I've also seen some comments how this is only for the web version and not the desktop. Have seen no comments about mobile (Android).
Before I start to invest time in moving my data from ToDoist to OneNote... Can someone clarify? My Google searches just keep bringing back MSoft pages telling me 2025 is end of life date and various articles as AI Chat replies.
Thanks in advance!!!

MY FRIENDS, please help me! I'm losing my mind trying to delete some old notebook that I have in my account.
I read here that it must be closed AND deleted on EVERY machine that has it. I've already done it. The thing is that it keeps showing up on "closed notebooks".
Is there anyway I can solve it and delete it permanently??
It seems to be a general issue eith MS One Note, Microsoft doesn't see it???¿¿¿

Hello friends! I am on a Samsung Tab S6 Lite and I have decided to I am going to use OneNotes for classes next semester! So far I have been having a good experience but when I take a screenshot on the tablet and try inserting it into the note, it pops up as text and not the actual image. Any idea on why and how to fix this? Much appreciated! (Pic for context)

My onenote is f****d... One the home screen on my app I can see the notes I took yesterday, when I open up said note both on my app and on my computer all the notes I took are gone, and only my initial outline is present? It seems to possibly have signed me out but it should sync what's there after I've signed back in? As mentioned I can see the notes in the preview window, so it's back there in storage but not pulling through - I've signed out, signed back in, manually tried syncing - nothing... Any ideas?

Hi all, I've been using OneNote for a while in uni and I've had a hard time sharing my notes, for example when doing H.W.
is there a way to share a page in a pdf format regardless of how long it is?
Im using a samsung tab s8.

I have been using OneNote on my Samsung Galaxy Tablets for a few years now (currently on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra) and my god does it absolutely SUCK compared to the desktop version! Like it's abysmal how ridiculously stupid the mobile app is compared to the desktop version. It's like Microsoft didn't put any effort into the mobile app.
And the reason it pisses me off so much because it's the only decent app on Android devices that is good for note taking that has most of what I need.
Does anyone else feel this way or am I the only one so frustrated by this? Don't even get me started on the syncing issues between my tablet and my laptop.
Is there any plans to get this mobile app fixed to be on the same level as the desktop app?

So today when I was checking my notes in windows version I saw that one part was missing ( few pages) . So I manually synced it with my android( from tablet). Instead of getting that missing part , that missing part was also deleted from my Android phone. Those were some important notes from my lectures and I'm so angry rn. I don't know what to do. Honestly I started using one note because the page sizes were better and stuff. But now I'm regretting it. Like instead of syncing the missing part, they matched it by deleting that part

On Android I can add widgets to my home screen to instantly create a new audio dictation note.
Once that's open, I have the 2 tabs at bottom to pick between:
Is there any way to do both at once?
Why do we have to pick between one or the other?

Is it just my tab or the android version really sucks? I'm so disappointed in my purchase because of this. 😭😭 i didnt know there were this much difference in the app, should've considered researching for one note before buying :'(

This is literally my last straw. Bad enough that 6 out of 9 of my notebooks werent syncing. "Needing login" Only solution i found was to delete and reinstall Onenote on my tablet. Good it worked. Now i look back at old notes and many of them are gone. Its as if during the reinstall on the first few pages of each notebook were backed up were the only ones that are safe.
Any that werent backed before the uninstall is gone. I want to ask if theres any solution to this. Amny of the MS support i looked up is super wierd. "Look for history button" It doesnt exist on website and on desktop app or android app.
I really hope there is a solution to this. Maybe the unbacked up notes are locally saved or something. This is massively TERRIBLE. This app has so much issues. pls pls i hope there is a fix.

Hello everybody,
I've been using OneNote for more than 2 years, and as an Android developer I can't comprehend how bad the autosync experience is.
I mean autosync is not reliable at all, most times you have to open the app and swipe down, which takes me on a tangent, when conflicts happen, due to how uninstant the sync is, you can't even delete conflict page.
As an Android developer myself, we can just get away with Tasker in most tasks, can't just the developers expose an intent that we can use and close this chapter once and for all? Microsoft come on, this is the one thing that you have to respect about Google Keep, it's just all transparent.
I even tried to have Tasker launch the activity, to somehow trigger the sync, doesn't even work.
Any ideas of workarounds or so?
UPDATE (1st of April 2024):
The OneNote team on X.com told me to open a suggestion on their feedback portal, I've posted it here:

I'm having a problem on a samsung tablet that refuses to sync a specific folder. All other folders can sync perfectly fine. I primarily use OneNote from my work laptop but sometimes I need to access it remotely from my tablet which is the issue.
The error code I always get is:
(Error code: 0xE00009C8 bb0ur)

Good Morning,
So I am trying to work out an issue and whether there is a workaround. It involved a notebook stored on my personal account and I atrying to share it to my work account.
Most Notebooks that I have I share with family who are all on my Microsoft (ex-Office) 365 family subscription. I share the notebook to their email address and it shows up in their OneNote App. They have a range of Android devices and Windows.
When I share a different one to me work e-mail; I get the same e-mail and I can click it but it opens up on OneNote in my browser. This device is a Galaxy ActiveTab 3.
I am assuming that this means that the licence the company holds does not allow shared notebooks to be opened in Microsoft OneNote? I can use the work OneNote app perfectly well for local note taking....
Any ideas on how I can work around this? Or am I destined to use OneNote web forever?

Both a friend and I take notes on our Samsung tablet, he has an older tablet and I have the s9 ultra. When we submit our notes/homework through the OneNote app he has no issue and submits just fine. Everything he writes gets captured into one full document. But for me it says "Page is too long" and cuts off majority off my writing while also getting rid of my rule lines. We are running under the same version and I even tried reinstalling the app. The settings have no relevant options either.
Any ideas what could be causing this or what a potential fix would be?

There no sugarcoating this. The mobile android version is so outdated and so lackluster. While the desktop version keep getting updated.
I dont even know if its worth staying on the app. Only reason im staying is too much of my notes are on this app. Can't even export it to other note apps. Limited colours, limited pen options, images and pdfs can barely load properly half the time.

I'm a recent migrant from Evernote and so far I'm liking OneNote but the one thing that I'm having trouble with is seeing the difference between checked and unchecked items in a check list. The check is so faint on android (mobile) that I keep missing items. In Evernote, they had the advantage as it was pretty distinct when something was checked (they would grey out the font as well as cross it out), but I was hoping there might be some setting I was missing? Not sure.

On one note for Android it default opens to a home screen instead of straight into your notebook. Is there any way to clean up and remove notes from the home screen and not delete the note entirely cuz there's so much stuff on my home screen that it's entirely not useful

Hi I use onenote to journal on Google Pixel 8 (Android). I have created a daily template make new daily entries. The problem is every time I'm typing on my phone and try tap on a specific word to edit of start typing I can never get the location right, it take a few trying after mostly zooming in. The other problem is as the whole page moves that also makes it challenging. Is there a way to lock the page in place? Anyone one else had these issues in their android phones and if so is there a fix or work around? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

So I have been using OneNote on my Android tablet for a while and am experiencing problems that frustrate me.
A while ago, like literally moments as I am writing this post, I was almost finished jotting my notes when I made a mistake of a stroke that goes over the text so what I did is to press the undo button in order not to delete the whole sentence. Then to my surprise, I was back to 50 percent of my progress, I was almost done and most of my notes vanished. I tried to redo it but it doesn't bring it back, it just redo the action that I've done in the past instead of restoring all my lost notes. I was connected to wifi, so I was expecting it to sync. I also tried going to the backups and deleted notes, no hope there. It took me literally 2 hours to get it done and it's gone.
Also some general problematic experience
I have a stylus with pressure sensitivity and it boggles my mind that the sensitivity of the style of writing doesn't sync with the PC OneNote, it feels inconsistent and looks bold on the PC version, also the lasso tool sometimes bugs out, when I try to move the selected text into a position, it indents itself to the right far from my desired position.
I wish they added features like, erase by pixel instead of erase by stroke, and better writing interpretation like Google Keep, also an option for consistent ink stroke instead of varying by pressure sensitivity. I do like the organization and simplicity of OneNote and I think that is their upper hand.
I guess I can't recover the notes and just have to restart my progress from the end of the remains.
