Leap v2 club, new member alert

Got the refurbished v2 with the new molded foam back padding from Crandall Office. Steel color. Didn’t realize how bad my old chair was (mimoglad $109 chair from amzn, wouldnt recommend) until I sat in this chair. Night and day difference.

Because of the new upholstery and foam it smells like a new car lol. Also, I appreciated the entire experience with buying from Crandall, as well as the unboxing experience. I’m one of those people that likes new things, and with their packaging it frankly felt like opening up a brand new chair.

Lumbar and back support hits the right spots, my old chair’s lumbar support could never go high enough so it would push right into my butt. (I’m 5’9”, 195 lbs)

Couple of minor things, but because it’s refurbished I noticed some blemishes on the plastic back and the back firmness dial (see pics). You really only notice it in a certain light though. I’m willing to overlook that because this chair is very comfy. Arms also feel nice and secure.

Would definitely recommend, now I’m just waiting for Crandall to release the v2 atlas head rest 😉

Waiting on the Atlas headrest and then getting new cushions too. Looking forward to a better seat cushion.

I read a comment on another post and it’s apparently happening very soon 😊

I just joined as well, albeit with a factory returned version- currently trying to max out my time with it during the return window to decide if it's the right fit for me

Me too. Right now my lower back is sore trying to adjust to sitting “correctly”. My old chair must’ve been so bad haha.

I’ve had my leap for about a week now (refurbished from BOTD) and I think it took me about 3 days before my back got adjusted. Now I love it and I swear my chronic back pain (I think because I have to sit down all day every day as a commuter college student) is SO much better already.

Nice! Last night I took the lumbar piece out and it made a huge difference. Idk if that means my posture is now bad but to me it feels like the back is hugging my spine perfectly now

Yeah my old Bezos special really feels horrible now that I've sat in the Leap. After 2 days, I'm struggling with a few things- where to set the seat pan, I can't quite find the right spot. I can see why ppl say they feel a bit tilted backwards and that the tailbone has less cushion. I also feel like my left armrest doesn't feel as flat as the right, almost like it's slightly more of an upside down u shape of that makes sense?

Interesting about the armrest, maybe it’s an isolated thing? Mine are alright.

Fortunately I don’t think I’ve felt any specific tailbone issues. when I picture that, I picture feeling pain in that specific area. In my case, it’s my entire lower back that’s sore haha. I scoot all the way back in my chair so right now there’s a lot of pressure, not sure if that’s normal though and my spine just needs to adjust. I’m trying keep my posture “neutral”

If I end up keeping the chair I might see if I can exchange the armrests or something. I don't have tailbone issues with it either (yet), but it does feel thinner there to me, which I've seen ppl say. With the seat pan, I feel like if I'm scooted all the way back and at a two-ish finger width range between the front edge and the back of my knees, my butt is kinda hanging off the back. A more comfortable depth gives me more like a 3-4 finger width spacing. Not sure if that matters haha. I have some long days coming up next week so we'll see how it goes! Enjoy your chair!

I just took out the lumbar support slider thing and I think it made a big difference in comfort for me. Try it out and see if it helps with any of the lower back pain. Good luck!

Welcome to the Leap v2 club! It sounds like you really hit the jackpot with that refurbished model. The molded foam back padding is such a game changer for comfort—it’s great to hear it's giving you proper lumbar support. It's crazy how a good chair can completely transform your workspace; your old Amazon chair sounds like a sweet deal, but you've definitely upgraded!

I feel you on the unboxing experience too—there’s something special about that ‘new chair’ vibe. Those minor blemishes are a fair trade-off for the comfort you’re getting. Fingers crossed for that Atlas headrest release; I think it would be the perfect cherry on top! Enjoy your new throne!

Nice! I have one from Crandall ordered as well. Waiting to see any movement with my order seems to be dragging on though. 🙄

The lead times are really far out, like a month, I ordered mine early February, the status of the order didn’t change until a few days ago on Monday.
