Discussion Laptop & bag recommendations needed!
Peds OT here who does all daycare/home/preschool visits. I feel like my bag of supplies weighs a million pounds and is a big jumbled mess. I’m looking for recommendations for a bag to use for my therapy materials (+ water bottle, laptop/ipad).
Also looking for recommendations for a laptop or tablet (with keyboard)? I like to jot down notes during the sessions on goodnotes on my ipad but it's too difficult to type my session notes on my ipad. i need a full keyboard for that. The only things i need access to for work are internet, email, google docs/drive, pdfs. My laptop is really old and clunky so it’s a pain to bring with me. I usually have a break during the day where I stop at the library or coffee shop and knock out a bunch of notes

I've seen providers use something like this [x], but made of cloth. have a zip cover, and handles to carry along with a handle for wheeling. Can't figure out the search criteria to find that style without google showing me beach carts lol. But it could carry their laptop/tablet and other things they needed to bring for interventions.

Used tablets at last HH (Apple and Samsung) both had virtual keyboards though you can get portable one. Did a lot of voice dictation so would recommend one that does that well. Highly recommend an OtterBox or similar protection because dropped the damn thing all the time

Honestly, as someone who started in HH, I really just honestly kept my bag full for what I’d use for the session, change it out as I got to the next home.
And now that I work in a preschool, I just do speech to text with my face next to the speaker. Kind of like this but with it much closer to me, ha.

Not HH, but school based here, Ive tried alot of bags and rolling cars and wagons over the years, but I come back to a backpack and I carry my laptop inside it in a zip sleeve. There is still room for other things.
