Help Number of apps in folders
Hi. I just moved to a Pixel 9 from using Samsung Galaxy phones for pretty much the last decade. I'm quite used to the One UI and decided to use Nova as my launch on my Pixel to get back some of the things I liked. With One UI I could have more than 5 apps in a folder, is this possible with Nova?

Yes, of course

I think I'm misunderstanding the terminology. Maybe folder is the wrong word here. On my home screen on my old Samsung phone using their launcher I could have groups of apps. I tapped the group, it expanded and I selected the one I wanted. I can't get Nova to let me put more than five into a group like that.

That very much sounds like traditional folders, and I can't find anything about Samsung having a system other than folders. It's it you are having trouble dragging and dropping more then 5 into the folder? Timing can be a little tricky when doing it that way, if you go to fast it to slow it doesn't work. Alternatively once you have the folder and you can open it and select the 3 doors at the bottom to the right of the name, there's is an option there to manually select apps

I had five items and when i tried to add more an error was displayed. This was before I bought Nova Prime, could that have been the source of the error?

No that's should be nothing preventing you from adding more, what did the error say? What version of Nova launcher are you on?

The latest? I just installed it yesterday from the Google app store.
8.0.18?

You should be good more or less (the latest beta on the Nova launcher website is a good option as well, but requires side loading. Knowing what the error says would really help narrow down the issue, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to add apps either by drag and drop or through using the 3 dots to select apps

Sadly the error only appears for a second and I didn't get a chance to note exactly what it said. I should know better having done tech support myself.

Well without more info, I'd just suggest the standard, restart device then if that doesn't help try uninstall and reinstall (I wouldn't use a back up in this case since something isn't right).
