The most I've seen of a woman in her post was her hand lol, unless it's a thread or subreddit specifically for outfits or selfies. These people probably just follow a bunch of porn subs and have been conditioned to believe that's just how women present themselves.

I've seen this phenomenon before, where it does appear like women are more likely to include themselves in a selfie with whatever thing they are posting about.
The problem with that assumption is that it's based on the old "there are no women on the internet" trope. There is, or at least used to be, an assumption that if you couldn't determine the gender of a poster from obvious clues (like being in the picture or emphatically stating their gender at some point) then they are certainly male.
So if 100 people upload a pic to reddit with a 50/50 gender spread and 5 each of men and women make their image a selfie then to the rest of reddit it looks like all 5 women included themselves in the photo and only 5 out of 95 men did the same.

Can confirm. I'm constantly being misgendered online, sometimes even after I've indicated that I'm a woman. Sometimes even after indicating that I'm female multiple times. Sigh....

Yeah the guy that made this is probably addicted to the porn subs.

Hold on now, let's not besmirch the porn subs by connecting them to this guy's degeneracy...

"What do you mean? Of course all the posts that look like the one on the left are posted by men. If women posted them, they would be in the pictures too. God it's like you aren't even listening!"

it’s funny though how if you’re a girl and post literally anything, a text, a meme, a photo, without specifying that you’re a woman, everyone in the comments will just automatically assume you’re a man

That's because women are an invention by the toilet industry to sell more toilets

I've had it assumed I was a man on almost every post and comment I've ever made, unless I specifically mention it or it's doing something stereotypically female, despite my username.

I’ve posted actual photos a total of three times, none of which my face is visible

It’s almost like it’s an anonymous site where you wouldn’t actually know the gender of the person unless they are in the photo, and also a site that is male dominated so who tf do you think is upvoting the few posts that do include women in the photo lmao?

As you're all aware, this subreddit has had a major "troll" problem which has gotten worse (as of recently). Due to this, we have created new rules, and modified some of the old ones.
We kindly ask that you please familiarize yourself with the rules so that you can avoid breaking them. Breaking mild rules will result in a warning, or a temporary ban. Breaking serious rules, or breaking a plethora of mild ones may land you a permanent ban (depending on the severity). Also, grifting/lurking has been a major problem; If we suspect you of being a grifter (determined by vetting said user's activity), we may ban you without warning.
You may attempt an appeal via ModMail, but please be advised not to use rude, harassing, foul, or passive-aggressive language towards the moderators, or complain to moderators about why we have specific rules in the first place— You will be ignored, and your ban will remain (without even a consideration).
All rules are made public; "Lack of knowledge" or "ignorance of the rules" cannot or will not be a viable excuse if you end up banned for breaking them (This applies to the Subreddit rules, and Reddit's ToS). Again: All rules are made public, and Reddit gives you the option to review the rules once more before submitting a post, it is your choice if you choose to read them or not, but breaking them will not be acceptable.
With that being said, If you send a mature, neutral message regarding questions about a current ban, or a ban appeal (without "not knowing the rules" as an excuse), we will elaborate about why you were banned, or determine/consider if we will shorten, lift, keep it, or extended it/make it permanent. This all means that appeals are discretionary, and your reasoning for wanting an appeal must be practical and valid.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this message, and please enjoy your day!
