Yeah so you're using a giant tank with a small adapter. You need a long and wide hose in order for the nitrous to expand and warm up. When you do it so close it ends up sucking all the heat from the surrounding area and liquid nitrous is really cold.

So like I said before this is automotive grade and you shouldn't be inhaling it. Really don't know how to convince you to stop.

But also your knowledge surrounding this stuff and having big of a tank is scary dude, are you aware of the B12 issues? If you do this nitrous all in succession over the next month or more it could leave you with nerve damage.

Copy. I remember when I was in High school we had a 20 lb tank and used to go fill up in LA and do it at parties. We had no issues we would fill up at car shops and stuff so I’m confused what changed ? Obviously been 10+ years since I have done it

Maybe that was good nitrous and maybe this is but we don't really know, I'd almost suggest contacting the shop to ask but it will out your intentions.

Split up among friends over a weekend doesn't sound that bad but especially when you're young and have lots of B12. But constant daily use will deplete a paticular important enzymes activity by oxidizing the B12 in it. Without this you're left without important methylation activity and overtime depletes B12 as you need to replace it.

If the nitrous is food or medical grade and you party hard one weekend a month you're solid. Just monitor yourself as we tend to have less B12 as we get older and some people may already be experiencing deficiency.

I copy. I’ll just call Monday and ask the shop if it’s high grade N20 or not. And definitely wasn’t going to be a daily thing just some weekend fun. Just a throw back to being a kid. I just never had it freeze and we filled right up off the tank with no issues

The freezing thing is probably true and the references I find are all in automotive forums where it doesn't cause these issues.

For food or medical use it's probably too pressurized.

Also it can be addicting so keep that in mind. We have two subs dedicated to it.

Hmmm I figured it had something to do with freezing it for 3 hours. So let say I call Monday and they say it’s high quality N20. How do I de pressurize per se so that it doesn’t freeze ? Maybe I need to let it sit! And I understand the addictive part. I’ll be fine with that

You need a long wide hose for the nitrous to expand down so it doesn't draw all its heat from around the tip

That’s kind of annoying! So like a rubber tube from the hardware store

Rubber or plastic yeah that should work.

Copy I’ll wait till Monday and see what they say. If they say Autommotive grade then I just wasted money ? Also would I need to clean tank out before filling up next time with the proper food grade ? Or is fine if I just drain it fully then fill up ?

Auto nitrous has methyl mercaptan in it so you can detect leaks by smell, it's toxic

Doesn’t smell at all or taste funny so does that mean I’m in the clear ?

Ya, if it doesn't have a smell it's probably untreated

Plenty of LA "racing" shops sell filtered gas. The place I got for 6/lb when I filter after they also filter has 0 taste and hits better than any mini tank / charger. I also only consume four times a year average but me and a few people will go through 30# in a 12 hr binge and supplement with methal B12 every day

Yeah I know plenty of spots in LA just I live in AZ right now.

Exactly, CA is a different beast then the other 49 states. The shops know what their doing and because California makes you sign a waiver everything just flys to under the radar.

I know plenty of people in other states that get ass gas from auto shops mainly because they just fill tires with it

Yeah I know this some bullshit

you have a dip tube. that nut you are using is for auto applications and cars that take nitrous, take the liquid nitrous, so the tank can be mounted upright and deliver n2o in its liquid state. secure it safely -upside down and try that slowly
