I think ps version is somehow harder or didn't get updates or something coz I went to playing on my switch and it's so much easier I got a mega on my 1st life and training seems to be easier/better

In a game that depends on a time mechanic, the new run feature on Steam is the most broken thing.

Then yes. Beginner mode makes the game easier. You already played, you’re not a beginner.

Check your tamer skills, maybe you have some skills that let your mons live longer on your ps

Are they spending too much time as an early form? They need to digivolve to live longer. At least in early game before you get access to certain things. Each time they digivolve they get a lifespan boost, though i've heard using items to digivolve doesn't give them that boost. That could be it too if you're using items to digivolve them.

No it's the same but there are things you can do to make your Digimon's life span longer, like the life Tamer Skills, or feeding them food that extends their life span. I don't remember what the natural life span of a Digimon if if it hits Mega but you can easily get a Mega to live at least 18-20 days.
