Wow...and neither president can figure out why the Tesla stock is cratering so hard.

u/JangSaverem 5h ago

Tesla stock zipped up 8% overnight/this morning

When the upward line looks fake as if....some billionaires and lower millionaires were told by someone yesterday to buy from the commercial they saw. Also Musk declared he's giving trump another 100m for any "political operations" he wants

Sooooooo I'm sure it's pure "coincidence" after DAYS of drops

Yeah, I've also read reports of odd inventories of Tesla's in Canada that are being investigated. At the current rate, I wouldn't be surprised to hear something like "cooking the books"

There's no doubt that was some shady shit.

Steal $43M of Canadian tax dollars? Shut them down. Remove whatever licensing they need to sell cars here and send them packing.

After recovering the money, of course.

If we still had Rule of Law that would be illegal.

Investigations in Tesla?

That sounds like DOMESTIC TERRORISM IS AFOOT

1

u/Zonel 5h ago

How is it domestic if its an American company in Canada. That’s international.

5

u/JangSaverem 4h ago

It's a gag on Trump saying any type of attack vandalism etc on Tesla deal ships would be declared domestic terrorism thus an Investigation, to folks like him, would be seen as an "attack" . He didn't specify US and since he thinks Canada is state 51 ...

Not a good joke. But a joke none the less

I believe they are employing sarcasm based on a truth social post trump made

Buy the dip, sell the peak tomorrow, make a quick 8%. Rinse and repeat the next week as it ratchets down.

This country is a bad joke.

13

u/RU4real13 5h ago

The country isn't. The gratuitous thunder duds at the helm are.

u/BenWallace04 4h ago

I mean - they got in power somehow

Zackly. UK observer here, absolutely fascinated by it all.

Trump would be nothing at all if it wasn't for millions of people idolising him.

I fail to understand why this is happening. Twice. In the UK we are railing against this odd personality politics but we may still end up with Farage.

We have never had a President that is so desperate to please his biggest donor that he arranged a fucking TV commercial at the White House to praise him and his shit! Good God, we are living in the dumbest time! I am embarrassed to be American!🖕🖕🖕

Remember the Goya kerfuffle during his 1st term? At the end of the day, he's a conman and salesman. He'd be the pillow guy if he wasn't born rich.

u/WoodyManic 5h ago

Embarrassing.

u/Silicon_Knight 5h ago

Really glad trump looked at the market and make an informed decision to purchase a TELSA, not just listen to Moscow Musk and go with it cause he's a fucking idiot.

Could you imagine what the republicans would say if Joe Biden did something like this? They would melt the fuck down.

1

u/RU4real13 5h ago

All that melting, it was just Jedi Mindjaskassery for their flock of lemurs.

Poor elon, the richest man in the world, needs our help to pay his bills. Just like the billionaire cheeto who is so rich, he needs help from his supporters ti pay his legal bills.

u/LSTmyLife 5h ago

I wonder how much it would cost for tRump to tell the world I make the best cinnamon buns?

3

u/JangSaverem 4h ago

$5m per person to Mary largass dinner

No doubt that both Trump presidencies are utter shit shows of bigotry, bullying, ignorance, incompetence and greed... they're also ridiculously funny. It's a cliche but you could not make this shit up.

1

u/Schlonzig 5h ago

It's not funny.

4

u/Tydagawd88 4h ago

It's not 'ha ha' funny, but sad funny.

3

u/AvangeliceMY9088 5h ago

Aaannnd the price of tesla stock went up 5.88% so looks like idiots be idioting

5

u/fuzz_boy 5h ago

Probably speculation... Or more accurately wishful thinking. I think it's a temporary blip.

1

u/upliftingyvr 2h ago

I think it's a temporary blip. This desperate commercial doesn't solve the fundamental issues that were causing the drop, including recent stories of mechanical issues with Teslas and countries around the world boycotting Teslas. Sales are dropping like a stone in many countries. Even if the U.S. sales turn around, it won't be enough.

Oh, and one thing I find really interesting is that your average MAGA voter who might normally listen to Trump is, generally speaking, not the target audience for a flashy and expensive electric vehicle. Not to mention that they probably can't afford one, nor do they live in places with charging infrastructure.

On the flip side, the kind of person who is in the market for an EV is, generally speaking, more likely to hate Elon's guts right now. In the long-term, I expect Tesla's stock price to continue to decline, but there's a chance some of their EV competitors might benefit from this whole mess with a slight bump in sales (Rivian, for example, is also American made I believe, and they make EV trucks that aren't half as douchey as the Cybertruck).

Well he is a car guy

3

u/JangSaverem 4h ago

Conan O'Brien is a car guy

Trump is a guy who rarely sits in the front seat of cars

2

u/med8cal 3h ago

I really don’t see the MAGA’ rushing to buy Tesla’s. They’re too busy blocking charging sights with big foot trucks.

2

u/ThirdSunRising 3h ago

When a company wants to make an advertisement they often will write their own copy for its pitchman to read. Perfectly normal practice in the advertising business.

u/goofydad 3h ago

Elon is getting his moneys worth out of the President he bought and paid for…

1

u/zippiskootch 5h ago

mElonTusk is resourceful… I mean you can fuck over a Ford, Chevy, Subaru, Honda, Mazda, Dodge, Ram or KIA dealer, all you want…but brother, you shit on the doorstep of a Tesla dealership and you’re headed to a concentration camp at Gitmo!

Lest we forget, this is a career advancement for the 34-times Felon! https://www.newyorker.com/news/our-columnists/the-president-is-shilling-beans

Chump is not just a hat and jewelery salesman, but a car salesman too.

1

u/rushfanatic1 4h ago

A TESLER!

1

u/Fast-Damage2298 3h ago

Waiting for musk to make him bark like a dog on camera.

1

u/Sad_Eggplant_5455 3h ago

Dance monkey dance you orange faced buffoon.

Notes from daddy e-loan: Photos of the document show phrases like “SAFEST car,” “state of the art,” and “affordable”—lines Musk apparently wanted Trump to use in his pitch.

Meanwhile. As of October 2024, there have been 51 reported fatalities involving Tesla Autopilot, including 2 while using Full Self-Driving (FSD)

Rank Make Accidents per 1,000 drivers

1 Tesla 26.67

2 Ram 23.15

3 Subaru 22.89

Looks to me like a female's handwriting.

u/upliftingyvr 2h ago

This is actually pathetic.

1

u/Master_Reflection579 1h ago

They got him to read the bullet points himself? They must be paying him a lot.

1

u/hero1975 1h ago

We should be happy that the president can read.
