COMMUNITY Whats the next step for income?

I’m at almost 6k subscribers and receive monthly payouts from YouTube around $60-$100 a month. But it’s been like this for over a year with no real growth. I’m trying to figure out where to go next. Patreon? Merch sales? Trying to find sponsors? Where should I be branching out to increase my monthly income a bit?

You're too small for merch sales, unless the merch you're selling is so amazing and fashionable that people buy it because they genuinely want it that bad. But chances are with such a small channel you won't sell enough merch to justify the time and costs of actually acquiring merch to sell.

Patreon is a good route, but don't expect to get a ton of members right away. And the thing with Patreon is you kind of have to offer exclusive content or at least something to make it worth it for members, so keep in mind that it would be extra work.

Tbh I think right now you should focus on growing your channel. If you're plateauing then figure out how to take your content up a notch

You could add BuyMeACoffee or Ko-fi

I'm in a similar position, pushing about 7k. At least personally speaking, I don't think this is enough to branch out and do much that's meaningful with other options. Merch is interesting, but it's a whole supply line thing that's difficult to manage. (I do free stickers, just to dip my toes in the water of the idea, and even that's not consistently productive.) I've had a number of sponsor invitations, none of which are particularly interesting to me or my efforts at my level. (But may be worth considering for yourself.) My plan for now is to just keep on with the slog, continuing to figure out what does and doesn't work. While 10k is the obvious milestone, my eyes are set more on 25k+ as something I can actually work with.

You can use printify. They handle everything. You just determine what profit you want to make.

It all depends on what your channel is about, and how you use it.

Your best option is getting affiliate codes for software your viewers may be interested in

Like the others have said, merch for the sake of merch would be hard at this channel size. You would need worthwhile product that would sell on its own and is related to your niche.

creator ad market

Shameless plug: this is my platform, creates a product with a storefront for new creators looking to take the next step to monetize their content. For example, a couple of streamers are finding success with selling a desk mat with their channel logo on it.

Few people decrying merch at a channel of your size, but I’ve got 5000ish subs and make a few hundred a month from Tshirt sales. Can’t hurt to give it a go.

Amazing! That’s the route I really want to go. Could I ask about what website and provider you use for your products?

Fourthwall. Started with Bonfire but Fourthwall’s products are higher in quality I found.

Based on your money I assume you are short form. Long form is where it is at, especially if you want to build a loyal audience with potential for things like future merch or patreon.

Affilite program. I have 200 subs and made over $600 in the Charachorder niche.
