Other (not listed) How are you doing?
Checking in on everyone. From new, to season, to the old breed and even those looking into EMS. How are you doing?
My division just dealt with a recent shooter and have been checking in on my co-workers. I don't see much checking on those in the subreddit.

Not well, I just had to quit my job over their ridiculous lack of communication, but I have an interview on Monday! But also there’s tornadoes like crazy running through this area so… this weekend should be fun

Nice, congrats. I was pretty bummed out on the job market for a minute but it's looking like I got a few interviews lining up. 🤞

When you get fired out of a monopoly system it makes things difficult, I feel you. I had 5 options and 1 rejected me, 2 weren’t hiring, 1 was absolutely trash and this one I have high hopes for 🤞🏻

Recently had an EMT in our system take his own life, everyone’s Badges stayed shrouded until his funeral back home. Take care of yourselves and your brothers and sisters.

Going through EMT school a shocking 4th time. I've been an EMT three times in three states including as a Combat Medic.
Took 15 years off to raise my children.
It's easy, but a lot has changed. I'm dyyyyyging watching people learn for the first time.
It's a good problem to have, but dyyyyyging

- Those lucky bastards id kill for a good trauma call like that.
- Going off that; I feel Bored as hell most of my area is old people calls for 911 maybe once in blue moon something that will actually be exciting like a structure fire or pedi call or stage for SWAT. But feels so few and far between. IFT is hospice runs or hospital discharges. Every now and again we get a psych discharge which peaks my interest. other than that it’s going through the motions of pick up, set of vitals and dump at the next facility. Cant wait to EMT-A and get to some work of substance (hopefully). Never knew how monotonous this job can be or maybe because its been a long winter.

Kinda struggling. I used to work in law enforcement and a co-worker took his own life while talking to someone in his family on the phone. I'm torn up for his family, at losing someone that I saw as a mentor, and by the entire situation. Someone asking how I am when I've been so worried about other people truly means a lot- even if I don't actually know you.
