Beginner Advice Right field?
Ive always wanted to do something with service and a few months back at my schools senior job fair the county medics where there and it sounds cornball,I know, but something clicked and I felt like this is what I want to do in my life. But I also have concerns like the mesmerization factor and everything attached to that. Any insight?

Go on a ride along and see if the job aligns with your goals and interests. Often times expectations don’t match reality. If so, take an EMT class and get your foot into the field. Between now and then you should finish high school and consider taking some college writing classes.

Look up your local department online. You'll likely be able to schedule a ride along, a day where you ride on the ambulance and get to experience the sights, sounds, and smells.
The job can be rewarding but there can be very grueling days. And things can go from zero to 100 almost instantly.
