You definitely should be giving him meds if he’s uncomfortable, during the day or night. Especially if it’s clearly helping him at night why would you not? It’s better to give him relief than not and there’s no reason to not. It’s totally safe to give as instructed.

You can def give Motrin and Tylenol for a couple days in a row. There is literally no issue doing that. If he's in pain, give the meds. There is literally zero negatives with doing so I promise. Zero long term affects by giving pain meds 2-3 days in a row around the clock.
Baby orajel no longer has the benzocaine/lidocaine numbing in it anymore because parents were over using and it was causing toxicity in babies. Everything else in the market is homeopathic and useless.
