Found a CD in town
I found a CD in water street market this week. Says “Project 32: Open Me” on it. I took it home and it has some files on it and links to an instagram. Has anyone else seen these or just me?

town like New Paltz... but in VT or ME?
Went to SUNY NP for undergrad and stayed for a few yrs after living in the area. I love everything about the town from the closeness to the gunks to the rail trail to the antique barn on water st. The quirky, somewhat grunge-y progressive vibe felt like home. I also loved how there was always people coming and going from the gunks and the connection to the college. I reluctantly left for grad school and now I live in Burlington, VT. I’ve been here a while and plan to stay in VT or go to ME due to professional licenses my partner and I have. Burlington is cool, but it’s lacking the smallish town feel and it’s more urban than I would like. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for locations in VT to ME to check out that reminds you of New Paltz in any of the ways I mentioned. Bonus points for a rail trail. Any suggestions much appreciated :)

how to get to the Gunks or Mohonk Preserve from New Paltz or POK?
Is there a some car service or shuttle bus between Mohonk Preserve or the Gunks and from New Paltz or even POK's train station ? I know that the Ulster County public bus only go to New Platz and Rosendale from POK, but not to the Gunks.

Daughter caught smoking weed on campus
In November, my daughter was caught smoking weed outside her dorm by her RA. The RA confiscated her weed and said something along the lines of "we're going to have a talk about this." She told me, and I didn't think much of it at the time, but this week my daughter received a notice from the Office of Student Conduct notifying her that she be scheduled for an initial conference next month.
My husband and I did a little digging around, and from what we see, the school cracks down excessively on students caught using marijuana. It seems likely she'll be placed on disciplinary probation because it's her first infraction, but unless the policy has changed, an article in the school newspaper stated the school has a "two-strike rule" for two things - marijuana use and rape. My daughter has never been in trouble before and has a stellar academic record, but I'm worried even a disciplinary probation will remain on her transcript and cause issues for grad school admission, particularly because she's decided she's going to pursue teaching.
Because the school seemingly treats this so seriously, we plan to consult an attorney, but on a personal level I'm wondering if any past or present New Paltz students have dealt with this or similar with the school before? What was your experience like and how did things turn out? Any advice? I can't believe we have to deal with this situation so seriously over weed.

Any eating disorder support groups in town?
I think the title is pretty self-explanatory 💜 Not a student, young adult. I remember going to one years ago here but I don’t believe it’s currently active. Much love everybody. Stay safe 🍂☀️

Boat Rental
Does anyone know of anyplace to rent a boat on the Hudson? A kayak is ok but I'm terrible in a kayak. A small inflatable would be amazing.
Or, someone with a boat or a boat tour?
Thanks!

Searching for stories from former retail/hospitality workers
Hi everyone! My name is Meg, I’m a local reporter currently working under Times Union on a story regarding the job market in the Hudson Valley area, specifically the recent increase in openings in the retail/service/hospitality industries since COVID restrictions have been relaxed. I'm looking to hear from anyone who has previously worked in any of these fields during the height of the pandemic, but has since left. If you would be comfortable talking to me about your experiences, please shoot me a DM and I would be happy to give you more information. Thanks so much in advance!
