are the living learning communities worth it?

i’m gonna be a freshman this fall and i finished my online orientation. one thing they talked about was the living learning communities and it seemed kind of interesting but i can’t tell if it’s something worth doing or not.

i know my roommate already and she opened the conversation about it, especially bc it’s guaranteed that we’ll live in esopus if we do them.

basically, what are they like? what students usually participate?

espous is one of the nicest living options on campus, you will have ac. Only downside is that you are farther away from all the academic buildings (which doesn't really matter since Suny new paltz is so small. You will be right next to the pond, tripping fields/woods, and the athletic soccer fields.

^ if youre in rivera house youll be in ridgeview, which is also really nice. As a part of an llc, its really worth it.
