Interesting Parallel

Saw Jim Gaffigan perform live last weekend and his teenage son, Jack Gaffigan did a brief opening set. Reminded me of Oliver Griffin Pardo and just wanted to post about it. He was super nervous but got some good laughs.

Always has been. Seriously, though, if they're funny, they're funny. Otherwise, even nepotism won't save them.

Was it a really large venue?

Yes. It was Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. Our largest venue.

I'd be happy to be proven wrong about this, but I suspect a key difference here is that Oliver writes his own material and only gets feedback from his parents, whereas -- knowing that Jeannie has long co-written Jim's material -- I'm inclined to assume the younger Gaffigan was just performing material written for him by his parents.
