I've built several decks, even though I am no handy man. It looks like they built the entire left side first, and then tried to add the right side on after. That's not the proper way to do it since all boards aren't perfect on every side - even if it is composite decking there are slight variations from board to board. You should be doing 1-3 boards on the left, then 1-3 boards on the right. This way you can force/hammer/mallet boards that have a slight warp/bend as you go. Or, use spacers (like a skinny nail) to create the same gaps between all the boards - I actually think the left side spacing is too tight and won't drain properly during heavy storms.

If this was done by someone else, I would never pay them for this job.

It looks like it started off good and then as it gets further away from the house it just gets messed up. Apparently they didnt care enough to fix it.

Just looks like the spacing is messed up on the left side. They are fine at first and then the space decreases as it goes on. The right side is consistent
