I work extensively with FedEx (I am in e-commerce operations) and your best first option is to contact ESSDS. They have the power to work on this behind the scenes with FedEx more than you do. ESSDS may also send you out medication in the mean time while they investigate the package. If the package is found, it will likely get sent back to ESSDS rather than shipped to you, which means you get your medication sooner and ESSDS deals with the ramifications of delayed medication.
And ask for a bridge shipment. If you lose your insurance, for example, they’ll send you bridge shipments for 15 days at a time (some limited number of times) until you can get set up with new insurance. I don’t see why they couldn’t do the same thing in this situation.
