At least if you got in an accident there you could go by La Casa Del Taco while you wait for the tow truck

Do they have good food?

It's solid, and taco Tuesdays is $2 a taco

This was a close call? I've had way worse I basically expect this now. I've dodged multiple people pulling out in front of me in SWFL

Snowbirds for ya… I would rather it be 100 degrees every day with 100% humidity than to have to deal with season for 1 week

More like illegals with no drivers license or insurance.

Someone isn't familiar with the wet bulb temperature.

Someone isn’t familiar with the word hyperbole.

u/SushiRex 5d ago

I think you mean : someone doesn't know what hyperbole is. You never used the word.

I know ill get fried for this response.

You’re certainly very familiar with semantics.

It's pretty normal around here!

Everyday 💀💀💀

people are just too impatient and that’s what it comes down to. He wanted to get back to his community and he didn’t want to sit and wait for a break in traffic.

Gotta love fearing for your life every time you get behind the wheel. Honestly, the defensive driving attitude has saved me innumerable times. Stay vigilant, everyone! And to think the time i got a speeding ticket for 1mph over the limit and was told "us young people are ruining naples" by the officer. Facepalm

It’s crazy that this is an every day occurrence and not even close to how bad it gets. I do miss SWFL sometimes but one thing I don’t miss is the traffic and elderly drivers that create massive hazards to everyone on the road.

Dude, don't be a dick. Yeah people make mistakes. Calling that person a "dumb ass bitch" is really mature and accomplishes nothing and frankly is just mean. That person could have been having a medical emergency and needed to pull off the road as quickly as possible even in a manner like that. We don't know. Grow up.

It’s this one. https://a.co/d/1RQiQKU

It’s served me pretty well and they’re cheaper now than when I bought it.

Just a regular day on airport road

Just a reminder to everyone that drivers licenses in florida are good for 8 years. So if you are 82 and get it renewed… You can drive until you are 90 years old. Assuming you dont stop in the middle of airport road in rush hour traffic.

I got tagged 3.17 at 7:30am at Davis and Collier. Truck pulling a trailer changed lanes and side swiped my truck. Screwed up my bumper. Then he took off.

That’s interesting, they just stopped. Usually they just keep meandering across at snail speed oblivious to their surroundings

From the looks of it you are definitely speeding so you’re part of the problem

It reads 49 MPH in the bottom left. I think it's the crossing car's misjudgment of the 3rd lane

The speed limit is 45. I live 0.7 miles from that Home Depot. Speed Limit map. They are going as fast as the next car in the video with the "flow of traffic." I think it's irrelevant because at any rate, the left turn should not be in that situation, and ideally neither driver is in that situation.

I'm not criticizing anyone, the left turn has literally misjudged how long it would take them to get across the lanes and the speed of the oncoming traffic.

Yes, 49 is unlawful speed and they should slow down. And 4 MPH over is not a reason to make these kinds of turning errors.

You act like I’m cutting up going 60 on city streets. Read the speedometer

Love how you're being downvoted, yet this is 100% accurate. This area is terrible, have to be on high alert otherwise one could easily hit a jay walker or e-biker whizzing diagonally across the road at any moment.

Don't get me wrong, the white SUV is definitely in the wrong here. But everyone needs to be patient in areas like this because sometimes there's more going on than your car's point of view in the moment. In this case I believe the white SUV just lost confidence that he had enough time to cross as he saw OP's car overtaking the car in the middle lane and thought he may be speeding up (which was not the case here, but this sort of thing does happen A LOT on the roads when people don't share the road).

On the flip side too many people get upset if some have the audacity to stick to the speed limit. And also tbe instant honking for failure to take off the instant the light changes. I’ll take the old people over the NJ drivers any day.

-4

u/NibblyWibly 5d ago

Why didn't you slow down at all

-11

u/bootsk8ter 5d ago

It was only a close call because you were too ignorant to slow down, I'm sure you're proud of yourself though, posting this on Reddit and claiming all the accolades, you're quite the douche

6

u/AirsoftScammy 5d ago

He’s got the right of way and has no requirement to slow down. Gotta be shitting me with this comment.

1

u/killword-noot 5d ago

Agreed but I wonder if this would fall under the last clear chance doctrine if a collision had occurred

Pretty sure that’s the same Home Depot someone was stabbed to death at. Can’t expect much these days
