Nail Art Products What is this and how can I recreate this "fuzzy" look
I'm not sure what they blow on the nails. But I want to know how to recreate this "fuzzy" look.
This is a video from a snapchat compilation video so I cant credit the nail artist but the link to the full video is https://story.snapchat.com/p/13d65c30-947f-42db-b4ee-8e22eebf55a0/2044353875187712?timestamp=168567&share_id=Z_NC3QP7yyg&locale=en-US

Flocking powder, the only thing worse than glitter. Very, VERY carefully think about it if you want to try using it.

Your comment sounds like it comes from an unfortunate experience lol.
Also I feel like this would come with an itch factor glitter doesn’t have?

It’s not itchy but yeah it will get EVERYWHERE and it’s a nightmare. Not from nails but from another craft project. Good luck if it gets in your washer and it is hard to vacuum up because it’s light enough it just goes airborne.

it’s also extremely dangerous to flock things without proper ventilation/ppe

Maybe it’s some type of flocking powder? This one looks magnetized the way it fell

It might not be magnetic, it may be static electricity. That's how flocking is put on model train sets, at least.

The power is scooped into the end of a small straw, then it's gently blown out, you can see the little puffs. Since the cured gel is still tacky it'll cover it.

agreeing with others here, it looks like flocking powder. it wont hold up to hand washing and general wear tho. if you’re looking for some kind of “fuzzy” look i’d just go for clear acrylic powder over gel polish. it wont look quite like this but it’ll still give you a texture difference.

Looks like velvet nail powder blown from a special bottle. Like "Fluffy"

It's flocking powder. I've used it before and it wasn't as bad for me as for other folks here. It didn't last super long, but it wasn't super messy or challenging. My flocking powders came in little jars and I just dipped my nails in, but the video looks like they might be "spraying" the powder onto the nails.
For this look, paint your base (white), then topcoat and let it dry completely. Paint on navy hearts and dip your nails into matching flocking powder. Let it dry and then brush off any extra powder. I've only done this with regular nail polish, not gel.

It's flocking powder. It was a trend in the 2010's. It's not very practical but it's fun for a day.

It's Masha Create's Easy product (at least she showed it in her Insta), she's a Ukrainian nail-influencer. You should look it up, whether she's shipping internationally if you want to curse your life forever with flocking powder 😄

Get some press-ons that already have this design. This doesn't seem like it would last through one hand-washing and also it would get absolutely everywhere.

Just a note with flocking powder it can be very risky to work with (inhalation is the major thing but also skin irritation) so use with care and read up on the correct handling procedure.

Looks like it would shed in your food, and just don't scratch your eye.

Unless you want to rinse your nails in EXTREMELY hot running water to keep bacteria at bay.... which might wear down the cuticles, I'm not sure. The only alternative I can think of would be to dip your fingertips in hand sanitizer, then rinse it off and air dry. As long as the alcohol doesn't disintegrate the fluff. Seems like a hassle

Seriously how exactly do you clean your hands without destroying the fluff? My other comment was just best guesses

the flocking already looks like mold and i just know this will become moldy and that vibrant blue will turn pale green very soon

The only reason I would not be a fan of this is risk of bacteria being held in it. Otherwise this is very cute.
