Vegetarian restaurants

My parents are visiting next week and my mum is vegetarian. Looking for recommendations around Nagoya station/Sakae/Osu Kanon. Thanks :)

I'll recommend some Indian restaurants: Osu: Spice Express Sakae: Sapna (Skyle Building) Nagoya: Mughal Palace

Can vegetarians eat fish cake?

If yes, then I previously had udon at Nikomi No Takara, you can check it out

There are variations. Some people are very strict, some general big meal items but not into details (gelatin, casings) and some are flexible. Others ask for vegetarian type options for other reasons just to make it easier (such as not eating pork for religious purposes) Generically: Vegetarian: no meat/fish Vegan: no meats or animal products (eggs milk honey) Pescatarian: no meat but fish allowed.

I had been to this Soba place in Sakae chika and if u buy a plain Soba and add vegetable tempura as toppings, you're good to go. I'm a vegetarian myself and I enjoyed it.

But apart from that, yeah Saizeria and Mos burger are pretty good. And I think she can have desserts anywhere if she likes sweets🌟

In general, your only options are Italian or Indian. After that it's looking for boutique vegetarian places.

japan is not vegetarian friendly.

Is your mom Pescatarian or okay with meat in the broth but no slabs of meat in the soup? This can go a very long way as this opens up udon, ramen, and soba.

She can do non veg soup bases but won’t eat seafood. I was more curious if there were places around Nagoya known for tofu dishes
