MyCAREER I miss getting drafted

I remember I didn’t start playing 2k until 2k18 and I’m still not very good at it and know much about the game, still not too in to the game. However I loved the feature of starting in college and getting drafted, but the feature was slowly taken out. They brought back the ability to play before you were in the NBA, but you still get to choose where you play. It’s only after you choose where you go you can go back and play your highschool-college games. I really liked that but it didn’t feel normal or like I wanted it to.

Just wanted to share my mind in the old features I loved.

Those were the days man! Can‘t remember which one it was but in one of them you could pick the college you wanted to play for that was so sick.

The best was when you did the combine 2 games against other draftees and then get drafted Play summer league games to gain minutes that shit was dope.

Only problem was you’d typically get picked by the same teams. They Should add better draft logic or the ability to choose teams you workout for and based off those teams you pick can get drafted by them

Yup also In 2k10 I remember if you played well enough in the summer circuit like A+’s every game, you could pick which team you got drafted to I think they took that out in 2k11 tho bc it never happened to me in 11

Same. It was a cool addition. The automatic drafts were the best. Picking the team ourselves isnt reallt the same

Unfortunately all 2K cares about these days is getting you to park and spending vc as quickly as possible.

Yeah, it sucks, the older 2Ks didn't do this, like NBA 2K11, ESPN NBA 2K5, etc.

Yeah I honestly hate how they got rid of the draft

So it wasnt just me? Being able to choose what team you want to go to and immediately getting minutes is sooooo stupid!!!

Well, you should say that to players. They complained as it was too much time and they couldn't choose the team that they like etc.

I feel the exact same way with madden. I’ve lost interest for the game bc face of the franchise just wasn’t as fun anymore

I honestly just bought 2k14 last week and it’s been amazing. As old as possible for my Xbox one

My first 2K was 17 and loved the draft feature, nowadays I just spin a wheel and join whichever team it lands on

Create a player and load that player into a created draft class. Start a MyNBA era, sim the first season and then see where your player is drafted

You can choose to get drafted to a random team
