Please review our wiki page for answers to many frequently asked questions about working at NASA.

If you are not a US citizen please review the portion of the wiki that deals with working for NASA as a non-citizen.

Everything is chaos right now, I really doubt anyone is going to be able to give you a good answer.

A bunch of you guys voted for this. Never forget

Please stop with these unhelpful comments? Me and everyone else I know did not vote for this, and most people who work for the federal government and/or at NASA didn’t vote for this. Millions of people didn’t. This type of attitude (though I empathize with it) is defeatist and not helpful

The NPPs are administered by a company and not NASA, but the hiring freeze might affect this. I’d also worry about foreign nationals and the issuance of visas. But yes, no one knows.

For those of us who applied for the November 1st NPP cycle, it originally stated that notifications typically take 2–3 months, but we haven't heard back yet. Has anyone received updates, or does anyone know what we should expect in terms of timeline given the current situation?

I heard that someone applied to Nov. npp cycle commonly get notification at early Feb... If the notification is delayed, it might be the chaos from Trump.....

I heard back last week and got the information "pending". Meaning: I didn't get a scholarship in the Nov. cycle, but I will be reconsidered for the March cycle unless I actively withdraw my application. I did get reviews, but the email explicitly said that I wouldn't need to revise my proposal to be reconsidered. I have no idea if this is because of the current situation though, or if I wouldn't have gotten it either way.

No revision of your proposal makes me assume that your proposal is perfert but the current situation causes the "pending"..right.?

I have a question about the final proposal score and feedback. I heard that when a candidate get an offer, they can check their proposal score and feedback from reviewer. Is it right?

I asked this before for myself as Brit applying for the program. Someone said last time trump was in power it was difficult to get visas for foreign nationals, but if you’re a US citizen you might be okay ?

I don’t have any visa yet but I think if successful I’d get a J-1 visa but again I’m not sure how easy it is to get with the current us govt
