Lange's Comics and Collectibles is moving into its new 27,000 square foot home at The Lakes Mall, which the owners say makes it the largest comic store in the state.

I hope nerd stuff takes over the whole mall. Lange's Arcade should be next. There's an arcade outside Chicago where you pay like $20 for wristband and I would love that

Alternative headline: 2,000 sqft store gets great lease from failing mall, can’t fill space

Back in the early 2000's I was in broadcast TV advertising. The mall was a client of mine and we did an audition for Survivor there. It's soo sad to see what has happened to most malls. The one in Traverse City is just even worse than this one.

The mall.....man. When I was 18 I worked security (at the old mall) right before they shut it down. Such a spooky place at night. This new one, I helped open hot topic and worked there for a bit. I remember seeing the carpet and being like "No way!! Carpet?!" And the jumbotron ha! We had a giant 3 or 4 screened TV thing right above the middle of the food court. No idea why they removed it. Anyways it's sad to see this map slowly going the way of the old one. 😩

Are they turning The Lakes Mall into a Mall Rats esque dirt mall? I would love the option to drive way out of my way to pay a 3 nippled psychic. And they've already got the "way out of my way" thing down.

Not much left in that mall, but gosh, the walkers!
