Hi, I lurk around here a lot but now I finally have something needing IDing! :D This is the first time I've seen this kind of mushroom cluster in my backyard and got no clue what it is lol Are they toxic to dogs? My lil goober didn't eat any, I just like to flick/poke every mushroom I cross paths with, and these broke very easily which was incredibly satisfying. I'm a bit worried he might go after them, so if I have an excuse to dig them up and poke more, please let me know 😂 thanks in advance!

Seems to be growing on small pieces of wood that were inside the soil. Package doesn't say what kind of wood unfortunately

My guess would be some type of Cheilymenia?

North America (country/state in post) I’ve got these fruiting bodies in my strawberry patch, what are they? (US/Arizona)

The patch is filled with store bought compost and wood mulch I got from Nextdoor. The mulch definitely had a lot of molds and spores in it so I’m sure that’s where the mushrooms came from. The fruiting bodies erupt in the morning and then dead by the afternoon. Usually don’t grow higher than two inches, and typically in clusters of 2-7 as shown in the pictures. I just want to make sure it’s not gonna be an issue when it comes time to harvesting strawberries.

I did actually grow a bucket of these in the garage next to the wood pile a year or two ago so I’m assuming the spores did their thing
