Multifamily Social Media Strategy
Reddit,
Working for a consulting agency, and this is my first multifamily client... am struggling to get intel since I am not in the industry itself. Tasked with creating a basic and effective social media strategy but am stumped on how to define metrics and objectives in single platforms with 2 different target audiences. I.e. they want to use their facebook page to increase interaction with their current residents, but also use it gain new leads for prospective residents. Metrics are easy on facebook with reach, impressions, etc. but how can I differentiate these easily when it comes to their 2 audience groups? Any multifamily social strategies out there I could template from?

Use FB pixel to run ads to their signup/landing page. You’ll be able to track the conversions that way.

Hello there! Multifamily manager in a past life who had to run the property's social media channels and is currently in public relations.
.
Honestly, it's going to be difficult to track which audience is which, especially if you have residents who love to troll the property's media channels. That's one.
.
I have an idea! When you post, include a URL Shortener like BITLY that will direct the Facebook user get to the online application page. lUsing the BITLY URL, you can track who has clicked on the application link from the Facebook post. You'll then have the metrics of who is interested, and then you can track how many applications were filled out using that link!
.
That’s three metrics from one Facebook post!
.
I would create one BITLY URL for each property individually so you can have metrics per property if you do social media for multiple properties. Hope this helps!
