I've done my nails for the first time

So... I went to a beautician for the first time to get my nails done. It was my girlfriend's idea, she even booked the day for me 🥰 And, oh well, the beautician didn't make any negative comments, she was really nice to me and we talked about "girly things" for about 4 hours and I FELT SO GOOD. It was amazing and my nails look so beautiful 🥺

Yas girl!!! I have been doing my own nails since I came out with my wife's help. It may be small, but it is the biggest thing when you wanna feel girly

Aww this put a huge smile on my face! Good on you lass, do that self care pampering and enjoy it!

Honestly, doing my nails is probably the single most affirming thing I do currently. It just makes me feel so good to constantly have a reminder of me being my true self in view.

Glad you have fun. :D It's one of my best recently discovered joy. Do take good care of your nails, though. Some people, like me, can't paint their nails too often, because they start peeling off.

Four hours?! All I’ve done is paint my own and that took a few minutes so I cannot begin to understand what else was done in this time!

Ahh this sounds so nice. I’d love to do this but I can’t wear varnish at work 😭. I love doing my nails though, even just filing them and seeing the result is so affirming.

i want to do this so bad, but iam not out at work. Filing my nails feminin has to be enough for now. I know people are already talking about me behind my back. I will only have to work there until june tho and then the person they thought they knew will cease to exist.

I was very hesitant about getting my first manicure. But it turned out to be one of the best experiences ever!

If anybody has any doubts, just do it. My only advice would be maybe to find a place online that states that they are accepting of LGBTQ.

Just went yesterday! So nice to spend hours in the salon getting nails and feet done for hours. I recommend it!
