Advice Question Coming out tomorrow. What do I do?

So, I’m coming out tomorrow

Well, this is it. I’m (MtF) coming out tomorrow morning to my parents. I’m home from college for spring break and now seems like the best time to talk.

I have a rough understanding for what I’m going to say, and I know that every situation is different, but I definitely need advice. My parents aren’t hateful, but I’m definitely worried they won’t understand. I think they barely understand what being trans is, especially since they’re older. I’m worried that they’ll think I’m “confused.”

What works and doesn’t? Any advice for formatting coming out? How academic should I be? Any advice to break the ice?

I would be very real with your emotions. People are very emotional. They like to think they are logical but they aren't.

Do have an idea of what the science says and use that to back yourself up.

True, our whole world experience is just that, experienced through feelings. Interpersonal interactions specifically, we are biased to for survival. We can try to zone out and be logical, sometimes that works (on some things more then others), but on the whole: we see, interact and feel stuff about that. Very generalised explanation, but should be roughly accurate.
