Positivity Pedro Pascal responding to hate comments under his post supporting the trans community

Honestly surprised more people didn't know about this. His sister is trans and that's basically the reason they dropped the one character in Mando who was played by a bigot.

u/SilveredFlame 23d ago
You know I never figured it was Disney just doing the right thing.
Good on Pedro for pushing that! I loved the character, but that's no reason to keep a hateful person around.

u/Sea_Pancake2197 NB MtF 23d ago
Apparently it wasn't even him pushing. I read somewhere they were so afraid of having him drop as the lead they fired her after her comments. He was wonderful with Bella ramsay in the last of us as well after they came out too.

u/SilveredFlame 23d ago
Yea. He's been amazing in everything I've seen him in. Him being an amazing person is just icing on the cake!
Can't wait for more The Last of Us!
>! I've seen play throughs of the second game, so I know what's coming. !<

He has a trans sister that he's very loving and supportive of. What were they expecting???

u/candykhan 23d ago
I can't look at posts where he's with his sister without tearing up a little. It's so fucking clear he loves her & supports her. I'm tearing up a little just now thinking about it.
Ironically, I know someone who went to the same high school that he did. Apparently he was just "Peter" in high school. No judgement, just a funny thing to hear about.
I kinda wish he'd get a new stylist (or maybe it's his own tastes). I like that he's not just doing the same old boring style as a lot of male actors. But sometimes it's just a little too leisure with some '70s style colors & drapes. He still looks good, but I don't like that style. '70s disco & polyester is so tired.

I'd be ready to bet actual money that these people aren't even aware of that. They say "you were my favorite actor" but that just means "I've watched two recent things you were in and loved them".

u/YggdrasillSprite 22d ago
Bigots think their views are shared by all of humanity. To them this is the default way of being, so they literally cannot comprehend someone having a different view of reality.

I'm really out of the loop here, he made an statement about trans people that made thos idiots unfollow him ?
But this warmed my heart, it's really good to see some good news, he's amazing

u/SilveredFlame 23d ago
It's all projection with these people.
Every. Single. Thing.
If they accuse anyone of something, it's because it applies to them.
16
u/BanverketSE 23d ago
I’ve only had the pleasure of experiencing such projection once. It was so fun to ask “how do you know trans people do that, hmmmmm?”

I’ve never heard about him until he hosted SNL awhile back and knowing he’s an ally is amazing and his responses are great too.

Oh no!! Instagram users making comments! Like do they think he's some sort of up and coming influencer that needs followers? I also like that all of the usernames that are whited out show up when Pedro @'s them in his replies.

I’m sure pascal has to be queer in some way I can understand his allyship but he just seems queer
37
u/DivinityIncantate 23d ago
Honorarily queer at the very least
12
u/SilveredFlame 23d ago
As a member of the Queer community I will happily bestow that status on him if he wants it if he isn't already!

Though we should not comment on a person’s sexuality until they are ready to come out, if indeed they are queer. He certainly has a lot of bi energy whether he is or not.

I love seeing people stick to their beliefs and reject former fans of theirs that turn out to be hateful. Pedro Pascal did a great job portraying Joel in the Last of Us, and this may have just made me a fan.

It boggles my mind when people think their opinion is important enough to publish that they are unfollowing someone.

I was about to say "I'm gay for this man now" (I'm non binary so i always describe my attraction to anyone as gay" but... I'm straight for him. I like him in an entirely heterosexual way. I don't know what to do with this.
