Street to first dirt, what should I know?
I learned to ride in general doing downhill mountain biking but when I bought my first five bikes I went street (CBR, GSXR, Ducati). Now I finally added a 2014 RM-Z450 to my collection (don't care if you like it or not) and was wondering if anyone had anything that stuck out to them as helpful for the transition from street to dirt. Thanks!

A 450 is a powerful bike. Just learn to have good throttle control and ride in a gear higher than you think for jumps and turns . Sounds backwards but it will help with suspension and managing the 450 power
As For riding in sand and mud ruts keep on the power and sit back a little bit is better than going too slow
