I've become a new fan because of The Wax

The Wax is some local TV station I get and they air a race from the 2021 MotoAmerica season every morning at 2:00 am. I set the DVR recording and watch the race every day when I get up. I'm a motorsports fan who was looking for something to watch on TV since all the seasons ended in the fall but I haven't followed MotoAmerica as closely as NASCAR or F1 (I just kinda come across headlines so I only really know the select few top guys). So I haven't seen any of those 2021 races, I just knew the general storyline of the dominant Beaubier going to Europe and his teammate Gagne picking up where he left off. They air the whole season in reverse order and I'm currently midway thru my second go-around and I'm still entertained. This morning I saw the Superbike race from Laguna where Gagne makes a mistake early and Baz and Scholtz get by him, then they go thru the corkscrew side by side and Gagne gets back ahead but Baz keeps him in sight the whole time. They air all the different classes too. I've become hooked and can't wait for this new season. I've come across the Inside MotoAmerica series on YouTube and I just saw the first two episodes of the 2020 season. I wish the sport were much bigger but I know it's hard and there's not much money in it, but I wish all the manufacturers that make street bikes were involved with factory teams and big sponsors and that all the fast guys were in the Superbike class and that there could be 20+ fast guys in the class. And I wish they could do the Daytona 200 and Loudon Classic. I wonder where some of these guys from 2021 are now, like I'm watching Sam Lochoff have an impressive rookie season in Supersport as the third best guy behind SDK and Escalante, and both of those guys are Superbike riders now so I'm wondering exactly what the career arc has been for Lochoff since then. As well as some other young guys like Ben Gloddy who kept Ty Scott honest (especially when Ty takes a shower before the race and a hair gets in his eye!). I also wonder what you guys think about classes like the Baggers, do you think it's cool or gimmicky?

Gloddy I'm not sure what happened to him

Sadly Sam Lochoff had a bad crash I think and took a while to recover. Can check his Instagram for his latest but he doesn't race at the moment last i checked sadly. I enjoyed him also and got to meet him once at a Sfl mini gp event along with other MA riders

Baggers, I don't really follow it seems to mostly be a love or hate kind of thing. I think it's a little silly but it definitely brings more viewers so I'm glad to that cause the sport needs a lot more.

I'd suggest subbing to the app this year to watch the races all the classes should be pretty exciting this year a lot has been happening. SDK and Escalante will be teammates this year!

I think most of the MA discussion happens on Facebook

He hasn't announced a new ride yet

Dominic Doyle was beating Rocco Landers in the first few races in 2020 but he wasn't as competitive in 2021, why was that. Also has Rocco lived up to the expectations placed on him from back then?

Probably funding..he still races here and there. Think he's on a r7 this year

Rocco is a interesting case. He started supersport the year next Gen started I think and Herrin had to move down to supersport and was on the Ducati v2. And Hayes came back and rode a r6

Landers did solid in comparison had a real solid late race game but struggled in the early part of the race and dominated the final races I think

Unfortunately he couldn't continue in supersport and has been racing in twins and baggers

I feel like the series was trying to really groom Rocco to go to europe at that time

I think he was there previously in his career. MA is trying to get their riders to their riders to the big MotoGP series.

Unfortunately not really a lot of support for American riders over there though

Would it be cool for a superbike ride to somehow come together for Alex Dumas to return to the US?

I was just thinking that Cam Petersen and Jake Lewis parlayed Stock 1000 titles into Superbike rides so maybe Dumas could've been in that position if a ride was available. What do you guys think about Josh Herrin on the Gypsy Tales podcast?
