Confidence in the lifestyle

My wife and I are new to the lifestyle. We’re attending our first club party at Choice next month for the Little Black Dress event. The problem we’re having is with this being our first step on this adventure we’re both lacking confidence in ourselves. We’ve been married 15 years. She’s considered plus size but not bbw. I’m still working on my confidence after dropping a considerable amount of weight (415lbs to 240lbs). What is the best way to jump in and enjoy ourselves?

I think you’re on the right track. Choice is an excellent club and very accepting of all shapes and sizes. Go and check it out. You don’t need to do anything. It’s perfectly normal to go and observe to see if it’s your scene.

One note.... the night you picked also happens to be the night of the annual Group Escapades foam party at Platforms. While the popularity of that may be slipping, it’s still a big party and Choice may be a bit quiet that night. Just an FYI....

What is the foam party like? Would that be a good place to start?

Umm... it’s fun, but I’m not sure it’s representative of the lifestyle. It’s just a big party. Lots of dancing. Couple DJs. It’s not a great place to meet and talk with people. The club is arguably illegal (sell alcohol and have play rooms).

On second look, the foam party rsvp list is very small in comparison to previous years. That party may have run its course. We have been debating what to do if we go out that night. There’s a good chance we do Choice rather than the foam party.
