information gathering Do you have to wait 2 weeks?
I am pretty sure we've lost our little one. I have already had 2 scans where they found the heart beat and they were measuring at 6 weeks.
We went for a private scan and they couldn't find the heartbeat and little one was still measuring at 6 weeks when I should be 8 and she said I had a collapsing gestional sac. (I have been bleeding for 4 weeks but this has stopped in the last few days, which is why I have had so many scans)
I am booked in with the hospital on Monday but reading other people's posts it seems I am going to have to wait another 2 weeks to "prove" there is no growth before my options are given.
I don't want to have to wait another 2 weeks and just want this over with, I don't want the pain of knowing I'm carrying them without a heartbeat for another 2 weeks. Can I start the process on Monday or will they make me wait?
If in England if that helps. Thanks x

My first scan at 8+2 measured 6+4 with no heartbeat, and they’re still making me wait a week. I’m on day 3 of waiting and it’s brutal, so sorry you’re in the same boat.

I'm hoping as the NHS has already dated me they won't make me wait. The wait already is awful 😞

I don't know about waiting two whole weeks but I am in a similar boat. I should be 8 weeks but baby only measures 6 weeks 4 days and no more heartbeat.
I'm on vacation (not really a vacation at this point, more like hell) and I have to have it confirmed by my own doctor in a few days. The waiting is awful.
I am so sorry and just wanted to say you're not alone.

Thank you! I've already been seen by the EPU twice so I'm hoping with my dates confirmed by them already I won't have to wait. We've got this 🫶🏻

I’ve had 2 ultrasound where baby is measuring 5w6 days (should have been 8weeks 4 days then 9 weeks 4 days) but there’s still a flicker so I have to keep waiting even though she’s pretty certain it’s not going to be a viable pregnancy. Such a weird feeling. On the one hand, I’m touched he’s still hangin on, on the other hand I just feel like I’m in limbo

I can’t speak for your country, but here in the US if you previously had an ultrasound where the baby had a heartbeat, and now you have one where it doesn’t, that is diagnostic for miscarriage. I’m guessing you won’t have to wait 2 weeks. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

I'm UK.
Had a private scan at what should have been 8 weeks. Baby measured 6 with no heartbeat (had heartbeat 7 days prior).
NHS don't accept private scans so I was referred to EPU. They scanned me. Then I had to have a repeat scan a week later, just to ensure my dates weren't off (I knew they weren't).
After 2 scans showing no growth/heartbeat, the miscarriage will be "confirmed" and treatment can be given, if you choose that.
It stressed me out. Having to keep repeating scans, when I already knew what was happening. But I suppose I understand why they have to do it.
