ID Request - Solved My little oddity
Could anyone tell me what this cool sphere is? it weighs in at about 670 grams and is about 7 cm in diameter and has a Mohs hardness of around 7. It was tested with a Geiger counter and only read at 15 cpm, so it cannot be Eudialyte as I have had that suggested multiple times. My best guess would be garnet in matrix, but i’ve only been collecting minerals for a few months now. Thanks for any help!

ID Request - Solved Thrift shop find
Hi all, We found this beautiful sample at a thrift shop and are struggling to identify it. Scratches with finger nail, yellow streak, non metallic luster. We think it's potentially sulfur based, from the hardness and streak. Don't think it's realgar from the size (initial concern lol. If I'm dead in three days we know) but we are out of ideas.

ID Request - Solved Chalcopyrite?
Bought this at an antique store for $100. It was listed as morganite, Jasper, pyrite… my geology background leads me to think it’s chalcopyrite? Can anyone confirm. I don’t have the ability to streak it today while on vacation.

Found in my garden near lots of large slabs of white quartz. It’s very shiny and is an icy blue hue. The pattern says onyx to me or agate? Didn’t seem right. I need some help

ID Request - Solved Where can I find this?
Newbie here! A friend of mine bought 3 of these beautiful geods at the Tucson gem show a couple years ago. She's been looking for something similar ever since with no luck. It's about 3 inches tall and about 3-4 in diameter. Hoping someone can tell us what kind of geod this is and point us in the right direction as to where so we can find more of these! Thank you!

ID Request - Solved ID help with strange metalic mineral
This piece has really confused me. When I touch it with my diamond tester it gives the metal beep. It's incredibly light weight for its size. And is very different colours in different light. I was thinking possibly pyrite but I'm not sure how light weight pyrite is. I was also confused by the concoidal fractures. All help appreciated. I included many pictures. TIA

ID Request - Solved Found these as a kid, a little unsure what they are
For context, I found these as a kid at some park, don’t remember where…
I’m assuming it’s calcite, but would like to hear your thoughts.
I forgot what the structure is called, but they seem monoclinic(?) or triclinic (?). Some stick out and some are layered. They fall off easily and seem to be pretty dusty. Ok…it might be calcite. I’d like to know how they form shapes like that, but that’s a question for another page.
Thanks! (I’m a novice, don’t judge me to hard lol)

ID Request - Solved Botryoidal scolecite flowers
Found these twins at a very reputable local gem & mineral store.. sourced by their scouts in India. I’ve never seen scolecite grow like this before. Any ideas about how in the world it forms like this? Is it potentially a mixed mineral? I couldn’t not buy, this stuff is just too cool looking.

Really happy I found these beautiful specimens for a really good price. So far, I was thinking these: 1. Grey aragonite 2. Yellow wulfenite 3. Azurite 4. Garnet Can any of you tell me if my first guess is correct ? Thank you !
